the best price i have seen in los angeles is 2.87....  most are 2.95 for regular... diesel is still 3.20... captive market.. i guess...

i would think it would be cheeper around here...

seems there are a lot of oil wells around LA>..

i still remember when the ross dress for less exploded... and there was fire coming up from cracks in the sidewalk...

a friend is working about a block from the labrea tar pits...  doing some demo work prior to reconstruction..   they have a terrible problem with oil and tar seeps into the lower levels of the parking lot..

Last weekend I paid $2.89 for gas to go to "Build Day". It was somewhat cheaper when I got out of time but not much. It must be more expensive here because they want to get one last shot at you before you leave. We have a grocery store in town that is part of a chain that has gas pumps that are discounted by the amount of purchases you make at the store. When you cash in your points the price per gallon is discounted but you are limited to a 30 gallon purchase. Lately we have been cashing in when we get about $1.40 off a gallon. When that happens we fill up the family car, fill up the truck and put any that might be left in gas cans for the lawnmower. One time when gas prices were low and we had had a bunch of relatives come to stay we had enough points to get the 30 gallons FREE. GPster
