I'm on a mission to get Vickie's truck back on the road. Once I fixed the power steering I came across some kid selling a 352 on marketplace so he could install an LS.  So out with the oil blowing 360 and prep for 352. Filling all the useless holes and removing the grim.

Dave,
A Chevy would fit in there just fine!

Some people try to turn back their odometers
Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I\'ve traveled a long way and some of the
roads weren\'t paved.

That's funny Kenny, one of the things I had to sand off was the 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 written on the core support. What type of person goes though the trouble of putting a belly button in a Ford but doesn't know the firing order?

After 45 years, we finally have a deck on the side of the house (10x20) and my wife is thrilled.  We are now looking at pellet grills, tired of the propane ones we have had.  Looking at the Traeger (probably the 620 at Costco) and the Camp Chef.  They are the ones that are in stock in Helena.  The other Traeger models are pretty nice, but REALLY expensive.  Anyone have any experience with the pellet grills?

Thanks

My son has a Daniel Boone. Users tell me that it is better than the others. They all have a specific shutdown procedure that must be followed or it causes failures of components. I think the Boone's selling point was rapid heat up for cooking. I have natural gas where I live. I did away with propane years ago and use the gas. I've been very happy. No more running out of a jug or price fluctuations. :)

I am changing out the air conditioning compressor on the 54 Chevy.  This is the 4th defective compressor. First two were rebuilt originals.  This one was a new aftermarket gm type.  The one I will install tomorrow will be another new gm style.  If this one fails I am going with a Sanden.

Spent the evening cleaning out the fish pond . Yesterday I finished the 4link bars and bolted the rear end into the roadster chassis. Now I need to make bolt on shock mounts for the rear end . Once I get the caster adjustment brackets made I will get the chassis re certified

Yard work in the morning. I ordered parts this afternoon. I spent hours on hold on the  phone. I'm checking delivery dates. Nothing is simple this year. :) I tried to order a cam. I'm number 26 on the list. They can't tell you how many they will receive on the predicted shipping date. :)

Installed the new air conditioner compressor this morning and drove it to the local shop that charges AC for me.  He filled the system and tested it.  He drove to my place with the AC on and working.  I took him back and paid him.  On the way home the compressor seized and burnt the clutch.  I am done.  I will order a new condenser, dryer, and Sanden compressor with the brackets to convert my factory pancake compressor mount to the Sanden compressor. :(

That is how the universe tells us no, when we try to force things to be. Pick your battles with care and be glad we're allowed to exist and sweat. Sweating is a gigantic privelidge. :)

Hows the saying go...life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. Success begins with ignoring IDJ advice. :)

In other words, just good luck. I have found air conditioning to be beyond my realm but do envy those for whom it isn't.

Another day of some yard work and ordering parts. I did get the cam bearings installed in the 302 and a few more parts vatted. Slow progress. :)

My brother and I drove to Arkansas City, Kansas to watch some friends run at a nostalgia race.  A really nice drag strip.  It is one of the strips I may run at if I get to do Rocy Mountain Race Week 2.0. A good day. :D
