Dentemp  :)

Carded small plastic container with mini trowel / tamping tool. Blue package is softer, stickier. Purple one is harder, lasts longer. Use as directed. Lifesaver. No, not the candy  Chocolate chips or bars can shorten life of fix significantly but you can eat them again and theres plenty of stuff for redos. Kinda wish there was a 2K version.

Kickstarted more art, Dad's barely a teenager red rod, on hot press Crescent board this time. The wheels and more technical aspects might be a booger but theres always the hokey banger thread for references. He was real clear about it having 16"s in front and 17s out back. There were some toilet seat looking trim caps on the rear in this early version, ditching those but they looked kinda cool to me. In the faded tiny wallet pic this is traced from. :)

Must be the week for dental issues. I went Monday to have two fillings replaced. I never felt a thing, my dentist is amazing, no pain...ever...nothing. I went a couple years ago, was having some pain in a tooth, he looked and said "going to need a root canal on that"  and started doing it! There was NO pain, not during the procedure nor after, I figured the next day would be bad...nope, nothing, no pain! I like this guy! 😄

Dentist said my infection needs to be cleared up.  The infection makes the numbing chemical ineffective and i would not be a happy guy during the procedure.    I agreed with him.

I have pain meds for my back problems, so i am doing ok with the tooth ache so far.  I can almost eat normal.  LOL

Quote from: "idrivejunk"Aw heck. Painting fur  could throw a guy for a loop.  Stick a car in the background or show the dogs chasing one. :)  The art for a good cause thing never crossed my mind but...

Thanks, and it is. I may try some paint on board today (blank page syndrome, umm what subject matter) but one of these days I gotta set up my desk, ditch the clipboard / recliner jive and work larger. These colored (can't type that word on other forums) pencil works just do not photograph well, the gradation of tones is much smoother in person. Regular pencil looks like black ink, etc. Gets grainy when fixing the light.

Not likely but in case anybody happens to be unaware, theres temporary filling stuff in the denture care aisle. Works pretty good if a tooth chips next to a filling for example. I haven't had a crown come loose but its for that too. fyi

Here's the dogs so far, better than I expected. I sent this pic to the guy, he showed his wife and she is happy, so then so am I. A little more fine work and it's done. 16" X 24"

I made dry erase marker boards for the grandkids this afternoon. Not very exciting or creative. :)

IDJ nice T door ! and metalflake to boot ! 8)  I spent the evening making mounts for the tanks on my buddy's Harley . We had a blast and spent time getting the position just right . Its funny how moving the tank up or back can make such a difference in how the bike looks . I think we have it just right now and it is looking pretty sharp! 8) Also took my drag roadster chassis back to my school shop . I need to narrow a 9" and build a 4 link for it . If it rolls it should be easier to sell . It will also be harder for me to bring myself to sell it as I probably have enough parts laying around at home to get it to the track minus the SFI gear. I dont think I have ever quite completed the 12 step program to quit drag racing .

C.K., the joke in the upper classes used to be "did you sell your starter?" If you didn't sell the starter, you weren't quitting for good. When I quit in 96, the 1st question was about the starter. When the answer was it was the 1st thing I sold, they knew I meant it. After 20 dedicated seasons, I'd had enough. I struggled with too much mental time for a while but that went away after some time. I missed the social interaction some but I found out if you're not racing, people don't want to be around you as much. I miss the sound of my generation of fuel cars but not enough to get close at all. Different results for different people. :)

I went to the University of Iowa yesterday for my annual checkup since surgery on my right eye in 2014. Everything looks good, but I told the doctor that my right eye has been heavily tearing up the last month or so; thought maybe I had a severe allergy.  He looked and said that my tear drain duct wasn't in the right place, and my lower eyelid was kind of floppy. He referred me to the optical plastic surgeon who just happened to be in a place where he could check me out quickly.

He did some tests, and told me that my drain was plugged, going to my nose. So now I have an appointment in mid June for surgery to re-connect my drain to my nose and wear a "wire" through that passage for about 4 months to reopen that drain.  I told him that I'd had cancer surgery on that side of my nose a few years ago, and he stated that could've caused the blockage. At least my health problems are all fixable.

I'd drink to that  :b-d:

Training a young friend at work a few years back, I insisted that he never lift the cup or lower his head to see measuring lines when mixing MEK catalyst (the clear liquid hardener) with polyester primer because of a quirk with the packaging that can let the whole squeeze bottle dump out when trying to get drops and the nozzle thingy blows out. Long story short, failure to observe due caution led to having to now have new stents put in his tear ducts every three or four years for life. He was about 20 and has glasses now too. The moral of the story being-

At any age, it strikes a man as strange to hear of tear duct troubles, don't it? Must be something that "recent" technology has granted the ability to fix. Never heared of it before all that. :?

Just shedding light where I might

I like the 54"s better than the 53's also. Looks good, Matt.
