Roof is finished. Needs paint on new wood.  Quote was 3350.00. At the end the invoice was 3735.00  which is closer to what I expected.

Finally finished a painting today, I have barely touched a brush for weeks. This is a commission piece, 16" X 20"

As time permits: I watched a few more old TV shows.  I do not remember a different guy (John Hart) playing The Lone Ranger for a couple seasons. I read that fans protested and Clayton Moore was brought back.

I also do not recall that Tonto was often tied up with rope. Although I was a young kid watching the show in reruns in the 1960s.

Also been watching a few Perry Mason shows.

Thanks Frank. I stalled out on this one for two weeks. The client was very patient. I found if you're not "feeling" it, don't paint. I had to correct several things on this that I had rushed through when not really wanting to paint. Now I have to paint three dogs in one painting for a guy that won a raffle to raise money for a  Shootout for local cars at Lapeer Int. Dragway. I raffled off two painting to be done for the winners, I thought I would be painting cars....oh well it raised $1,000 for the race.

Clayton Moore is to The Lone Ranger what Adam West is to Batman in my book. And I need that same fascia repair plus new gutter. No ladder.

Swallows have wanted to nest under the front porch roof all the years I been here, since 98. They still try but can't find the right kind of sticks. Lightning took out the gooey cypress tree out front, that must have been what they used to use. Theres a bunch of evergreen looking foliage on a corner of the porch where they are trying. Those eggs must be getting heavy and its cool and rainy.

Trying real hard not to freak out on a medical issue, meds seem to be having some effect on it but troubling things are exiting me. I had stones before, infection is now ruled out. Prolly TMI right there. Whoa-ing up on that talk but am un-nerved.

The bike painting is top notch! 8)  And as to the inclination factor with art, I agree wholeheartedly. Yesterday I needed a diversion something fierce and a other forum bud's ride just willingly fell off a pencil in an hour, if that. See below. Used the PC on it today to tidy it up, phone - photographing art is a challenge.

Oh, almost forgot... noticed this AM that the Model A thread smashed that six figure view mark. Amazing.  :-o  I don't know who all them viewers may be but wow! Thanks I reckon, to all you guys. :)

Nice drawing, I bought coloered pencils last year and have yet to try them. On some of the auto art site I am on there are folks doing colored pencil work that is stunning. If I ever get around to using mine it will be more along the lines f what you have done here, just probably not that nice. Hope all is well with you.

Me too, thanks.

Theres auto art sites? You mean like the share and discuss ways kind, not peddle your wares type? Never thought about there being such. But man yeah theres some people putting in serious time and doing remarkable things. Honestly if you break out some good colored pencils I think you'll want to throw out the paints. Its so easy and natural, requires so little planning, and every color is always ready never wet, and... well I like them. But I never tried to do anything serious with them, just comic-esque as shown. The black is just classroom #2 pencil on that.

Yeah, lots of auto art sites on FB. https://m.facebook.com/?_rdr#!/groups/319617688568918/?ref=group_browse is one  of my favorites, also "show your automotive art" and others. There are some incredibly talented people on these sites. Some allow selling, some don't, but even those that do have very little listed for sale. If you can find work by Don Packwood, from New Zealand, you will be stunned.

That explains it. Facebook, no. Television, no. Anything with ads or anti- straight White bias, no. But wow! That Packwood cat can draw! When I see stuff like that I always wonder if it is freehanded. It would be easy to get overly intimidated looking at such fine work knowing that level is completely out of reach. But it looks like sites are out there showing lots of people are capable. Neat.

I got to test drive the 54 Chevy this morning.  My first drive since installing the 8.8 Ford Ranger rear axle.  The good news is that the brakes are better.  I will mess with the system more but I can make the front tires lock up now, but not easily.  The bad news is that the brakes work so good that the upper arm on the Mustang II front end slipped, and now I have to get the front end aligned again.  I ordered new T bolts this morning.  I may convert it to the aftermarket GM style adjustment system.

O&S got to the shop this afternoon and got a little done. This is a spare pedal hanger I have for a 98 Mustang. There are kits for early Mustangs to do this. Nothing for newer models. Not that I would purchase one . :) I had some bearings left over from the mini bike project that were the correct size. I don't know how that happened. :) The premise is to use ball bearings to replace plastic bushings on the clutch-brake pedal shaft. I machined the bearing holders from 1.5" shaft. I left the stub shaft from the original bushing holder to align the bearing holders. They are tack welded in place. I intend to do this on the unit in the 51 also. I have more bearings and shaft for holders. The unit in the 51 is a bear to push the clutch pedal in. This will eliminate one area of friction in the operation.
