WZ JUNK, I'm glad to hear that Doug is working on his car again. I'm anxious to see it finished.

kb426, I have a Holley Dominator wired up in it. I am having issues finding a tuner. The guy I was planning to use doesn't seem to want to answer my texts. There was a delay with him due to a dyno getting hit by lightening. As of today it is all repaired, but the guy that was having the tuner come has now canceled due to header issues. I stopped at a different shop today and they said they were booked through June. Right now I am just trying to get a base tune into it with all the right input and outputs. I'm tired of making the motor noises  when sitting in the seat. I want to hear what it really sounds like!

The lever under the steering wheel is a hand clutch. If you look closely you can see a lever with a wood knob sticking out the left side of the steering wheel. On the right side is the clutch master cylinder. The pedals on the foot rests are steering brakes, with one on each side. The throttle is a fly by wire with the "pedal" now a hand throttle.

Beck, there is a guy on Protouring who has a good reputation working with Holley terminator systems by email. If you want I'll provide an email and you could see if he is of use to you.

I don't know what Protouring is. The Terminator is a little different than the Dominator, but he may be able to help me out. Thanks.

Protouring is just another forum mostly about restomods with an accent towards autocrossing. I described your project and asked if he thought he could be off use to you. I'll let you know as soon as I here from him. I've watched what he has done with his own car and some of the others and there's no complaints that I've seen .

Quite the day. No minutes of it were mine except lunch. Just now limped home the GTP. Halfway home on interstate being cowed super hard and going 90+ still unable to shake either the cows behind or ahead or alongside... being shadowed... trying to get distance between me and anybody... at full boost and floored for a good half mile anyway...

Multiple random misfires, flashing CEL. Can barely make 70 suddenly, temp gauge spiking immediately to 230-240 and nowhere to go. Pinned, boxed in. Instant transition from holding WOT to now obstructing traffic. No choice but to keep going. Made it home smoking and knocking on closed loop with no DTCs but CEL constantly flashing and P300 code pending.

Uh-oh. The GT is all thats left semi-fully operable but thats why I keep it. Had a mandatory family gathering so here I sit at 10 PM on a worknight, negative thoughts ablaze, engine too hot to touch, all nightly chores yet to be started.

Dammitman. The field is too wet to plow. I can't change gears fast enough. Better stop writing.

What was it I said about managing loss? Yea thats my life now. I didn't see a burnt plug wire or milkshake on the dipstick. Can't place the smell. If it was a 350 4 barrel I'd already know the problem. Its down at least a hole and the valve covers are plastic but if that sound is from under the rear one I'm guessing valvespring.

Ugh. Sorry. I could place a string of profanity here that'd make a pirate blush.  Must immediately force self to sleep soundly the instant I can get washed up. F

Beck, this is Andrews email: projectgattago@gmail.com
I have no info on pricing. All I know is he has helped many people and many by email only. He is familiar with the Dominator.

Today, I was going to remove the power steering pump from the 78 and see what was going on to cause the noise. The short story is that if was the clutch on the ac compressor. :) I ordered and inexpensive ac eliminator pulley to fix this for now. If I'm un-successful selling the truck, I might install air in it. At that time, I will order a compressor. The old compressor showed no signs of being functional when removed from the donor vehicle.

Glory be. :D  It was a not very old coil pack. Knocking and smoking was other rattles exascerbated by being down two holes and cooking off some PSF & 710 leakage from the not-happy exhaust.

Boy, am I glad. :)

That coil pack was new when I had the trans done. Since then MPG had dropped two tenths. Maybe it was that. For the mental record, coil packs fail at WOT.

Started to narrow the rear end for the roadster chassis . It will be 35" bolt face to bolt face when done . I have to cut out 4 link brackets for the rear axle next . There is as much rear end cut off as there will be left when the housing is finished . The one I did for my Anglia was narrower than the one I had in my front engine dragster . This one will leave 24" between the tires . My anglia was 20"

Pontiac Day! 428  8)  It has been a tempestuous one. Tornado warnings going off as I forded for miles with crank pulley in running water. It may be Friday before I get to punch the GTP again but what a noble warrior. Seems to be running extra good. :)

I am doing a little experiment with filling a tire for a yard cart with foam.  I hope I used enough expandable foam. One of the original tires went flat soon after I bought the cart.  I bought a replacement tire and wheel and it went flat and would not hold air.  I saw a YouTube video on filling the tire with expandable foam and I thought I would give it a try.  I will post the results.

Another project today was making a 3/4" riser for the passenger mirror on the 54 Chevy.  From the drivers seat the mirror was mounted to low to be of any use.  I am band sawing the aluminum spacer and it is a slow go but it was the only material I had that would work.  I will polish the piece before I install it on the car.

I had a tire on one of my carts that wouldn't hold air. It was on a two piece wheel, so I opened it up and stuffed it full of tennis balls. I bought used tennis balls on Ebay for 10 cents each in a box of 200. It's holding up fine so far.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

You 2 have me beat. I just received solid tires for my wife's yard cart. Now I wonder what's in them. :)
