In the back yard , near the patio. I have a small triangle shaped spot about 6 - 7 foot long on the long side. We have granite rocks there, 3 pots with various seasonal  flowers in them. WHen I built the yard area, I ran a pvc water pipe to that area for water for drip irrigation to the pots.

Couple years ago, I got the urge to put lights there.  Some solar - battery lights did the trick.  Easier than trying to run electric low voltage wire over to it.

Water distribution fitting in that small spot took a dump (leak)..  So I moved the granite rocks to replace the fitting on the upright just below ground level.

Guess what I found?  Another pvc tube with low voltage wire already run thru it. After 16 yrs or so, I forgot I had wire there.  LOL ...  well it gets better.  I hook up a low volt light fixture.  It does not work.  I take my large compressed air blow gun...  Put it in the end of the pvc pipe & air it up.  About 25 feet away near the area where 3 more water valve boxes are: The lid blows off the small box.

i will hook up the other end of the low voltage wire tomorrow.  See if my new light works tomorrow nite.

Purty exciting times here during lock down sequence.

My wife and I picked up a tiny trailer last weekend to do some camping in. It is a 1962 Serro Scotty Sportsman front kitchen so it is big enough for the two of us and small enough that we can tow it behind her truck. Plans are to refresh the inside this spring and redo the outside next winter. It is in really nice shape for the year and $$$.
Since getting it home we have stripped the doors and counter top out of it and sanded down the old paint. Hope to have the inside painted this weekend.  :D
It came with a Schwin also.

You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

Altho I am not sure on the same brand.  My father worked on road construction sites away from home during the week in the 1960s.  Mom & him bought a trailer like that for him to live in during the week.  He drove home on weekends

Thanks. I see you're from London, we're practically neighbors,  I'm just over the border from Sarnia. I bet we know some of the same rodders from London and St. Thomas.

Phat when all this is over, I have stuff to pick up in Port Huron. I'll let you know when and we can get together and tell some lies.

That would be great. If you ever need to have things shipped here for pick up, let me know, I am a shipping pickup point for several guys over there. My fee is "free", quite a bit less than the commercial places!   I'm get a package of obvious car parts on my porch and think, I better check my e mail, someone had something sent here for pickup! I am literally within site of the bridges, I can sit here and watch vehicles roll up to the toll booth on this side, easy off, easy on as they say!

I spent the morning doing yard work. The weeds are sprayed, the trees are trimmed and I have no wonderful plan for the front yard that I stripped off last summer. The idea god has forgot where I live again. :)

It must be the day for yard work.  I worked with the landscaping crew some on the front flower beds.  Then some gutter work.  Next I went around back and finished up some odds and ends on the pool deck refinishing project.  I blocked sanded the fiberglass scoop I am making for the Ranger project and applied another coat of filler.  Then I finished up by painting on the large shipping container I use for storage that is behind the shop.  I have to let that paint dry and then finish paint the container tomorrow.  I am tired and I am done for the day.  It might be time for a ride in a hot rod.

Yard work. Two trailer loads of branches, ect. to the recycler, and another one loaded. Still more trimming to do.

I spent a few hours under the 78 removing grease from the bellhousing and trans. If I had access to a real steam cleaner, it would get a bath. The exhaust side is baked on. Hammer and chisel would have been the correct tool. :) That makes better than 3 grain scoops full of grime.

I started my next project by removing the storm windows on two windows, my wife waxed them to bring back the brown color, and I scraped the wood and removed the dried up caulk. Got two window frames painted with 2 coats, re-caulked the frames and reinstalled the storms. Six more to go. When I get those done, I get to remove the window panes and paint them.

Fun times, I tell you.

Bucket washed what I could get to of three sides of the house today and showered twice so far. First weedeat of the season went OK and I push mowed the back section. The 72 GP has pretty much sunk to the control arm, right front. I should scrap it but then I would need it.

First thing, I drew out a hood inner structure for the 51 job. 1" round tubing should do. Oh and shot an email at my trusted trans shop to get the ball rolling on the GTP. That means the other cars and house get nothing this summer. :(

Its sunny, theres gas in the 69 but found the carb gasket wet this week on one corner. I didn't think an EPS 1411 could leak out the bottom.  :?  But theres enough miles on it to have worn a hole in it.

Wonder if theres a square bore gasket around town.

I finished painting the shipping container.  All those ribs and valleys.  I do not want to do another one.

There is a true cruise tonight in town and I think I will drive the Ranger and see who is out breaking the stay at home order. (Tomorrow is the last day of the order in Missouri)  The cruise will go around the courthouse square and then out to the boulevard and then back to the square.  Just like 1967.  I do not intend to stop and visit with anyone, but I sure would enjoy a visit with a gearhead.

Today makes 7 weeks of self quarantine.

My wife reminded me this morning that we were to be in the Swiss Alps today.  That was plan before the virus took our trip away.
