Quote from: "purplepickup"I put new wheels and tires on the van today. The old tires were on since 2006.

You got good service out of the last set.  If you are thinking like me, this may be the last set you buy. :D

I got a couple used tires yesterday. To get me by, on the DDGT so I can keep going to work. New ones I wanted were out of stock and I needed tread on my junk.

That painting looks really good. Like a fun painting to do, too. 8)

I finished the stainless trim for the Corvette first thing this morning and returned it to the body shop.  Then I helped the son-in-law with a diagnostic code on his Chevy truck.  I helped the wife some in the flower beds and I just finished getting all the vehicles inside and out of harms way.  We have a big blow forecasted for this evening with possibilities of going to the fraidy hole.  It is springtime in tornado alley.

I cleaned up around my fish pond and took off the cover . Still 6" of ice in it but the strawberries are all green around it . Hopefully I can get it going in a week or so .

Finished this today. At least as far as I want to go with it. Crappy iPad picture looks foggy.

You are very talented, and getting better.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I really like this one! It looks like I could just stroll over there, slide in, unlike the column, turn the switch to ON, push the button  and motor away while throwing a small rooster tail out behind.

That's a picture I would frame and move some others to make room for it in my workshop.

Well done.
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying. "Wow...that was fun!"

Thanks Frank, this one was a bit of a struggle, it's larger than my normal stuff and the techniques I use were hard to translate to a bigger scale, but...I learned. About 11 hours into this one over about four days.

Thanks Charlie. It means a lot to an artist that someone would like to own their work. This one might be for sale in the near future. I am going to frame it in a black frame.

I still can't believe that you don't do this commercially. That's very good.

Oh, pretty much all my stuff is for sale, I have sold several, and have many  for sale in a local Gallery, but there is a very small audience for niche work like this. There is a local guy that cranks out Gramma Moses type folk art and sells tons. He has a much larger audience, I like his style, but it's not mine.

we had a local guy who did a lot of car related stuff . He was a drag racer and hot rodder . He used to get a booth at swap meets and hand out cards . He made out well doing mostly car stuff . His name was Dan Reid , he passed away a few years ago . Nice man , talented artist .
