I have just spent the last 4 1/2 hours dealing with requests, forms , updates etc from higher ups in my job. NOW I get to do the back up prep and planning so I can do my REAL job . This teaching from home is so frustrating .       Its not the kids that will drive you nuts. One of my colleagues , another shop teacher has chosen to resign in light of it all .

Hang in there C.K. Any decision made under duress has a tendency to be the wrong one. I hope your colleague doesn't come to regret his decision. Anytime there is a complete change of methods, there will be lots of steps that are left out, screwed up or something worse. I'm pretty sure there was not a real school that was prepared for this. I understand that you are about to have a fit but you could use this as an opportunity to show others how well it can be done. You have appeared to be a very capable and talented person. Because you are faced with new material and there isn't much known about it, does that lead the way for innovation? :)

Another day trimming, raking and hauling to the dumpster. My rear is so low that the caster wheel is under it, again. :)

As mentioned CK.. hang in there. It is just problem solving with the computer and class planning.

With my recent retirement, changes at my wife's work, her surgery and my transfer to full Medicare.. I have needed to copy, down load, email , resize many documents.. I only misplaced a few of the documents somewhere on this computer.  Had to redo those lost files

I have to run to the grocery store again.. these gel ice packs are not working well for my wife and her knee is really "barking" at her.  Need more real ice cubes.

I just plugged in a small compact  fridge and my 1950's Crosley fridge into power. I should have done that last night. I had no idea we would need lots of ice on hand.. The freezer on the fridge  is not chilling ice packs fast enough. I need to move some items from it.

I have a lot of maple trees, they drop a lot of branches. Three hours today picking them up. Then I prepared the Jag crossmember to install in the truck. Tomorrow we mow.

My wife and I have been weeding our flower beds for the last four days, for 3 to 4 hours each time. (I know...too many flower beds).  We finished the last one today. I have a hilly ditch out by the county road that I have to mow with the Craftsman push mower, as the zero turn can't do it. That old mower gets heavier every year, so today we went to HD to get a battery self propelled mower.

You have to enter at the entrance only, exit at the exits only. My wife and I split up, I to look at the mowers, and she to look for flowers. I went to find her in the garden dept., and thought she went outside, so I went out. They wouldn't let me back in that way, so around the front I go.  Well, the mower I wanted wasn't on the shelf, so they had to get a pallet full off the top shelf somewhere. It took them at least 30 minutes. *...those are expensive.

BTW, they are fussy about which doors to go in and out, but once you're in there, it was a different story.

Tonite it is night lite setup.  I forgot to deploy them last night. My wife was up without me...  I was actually sleeping like a log.  Guess I was purty tired.

So...  placement of the night lites so she can get around with her walker safer.  I barked at her a bit for not waking me up.

We have a few of those lighted switches installed years ago. She thought that was good enough.  It was not.  Oh well. Day 2 following surgery was edgy for her (pain)..

Sold my last four cans of R12 today. I won't be fixing the a/c in the Ford, but am thinking about installing a whole new unit.

I cleaned, prepped, and painted half of the storage container behind my shop.  I have had the paint for at least 3 years and the container for maybe 10.  It was like painting a elephant with a brush and a roller.  :D   I will get the other half of it as soon as I recover and the weather cooperates.

For your wife's knee: when my brother-in-law had his knees replaced a couple years ago, the hospital gave him this wrap that had tubes running thru it and the tubes were attached to a small pump/refrigeration unit about the size of a toaster that circulated ice cold water around the knee. No freezer packs or ice cubes to melt. I believe Medicare picked up the tab too. Maybe a medical supply store has them.
