I took a small tree out that was too close to the neighbors fence. Then I changed oil in the wife's daily. I do believe it takes longer to remove the lower shield than do the oil change. No fun stuff today. :)

Seems like tree cutting season. I cut an 8" cedar that was all tangled up with another tree, plus being almost dead, another 8" tree that I have no idea what it was, and a dying pine tree, about 6". My wife chips the limbs with the shredder, and now a bare spot in the back yard is nicely covered with chips.

The cedar tree was so tangled, that it couldn't fall, so I just cut through the lower trunk, then hooked up a strap to the 10hp old Cub Cadet and pulled it down. That Cub is really handy.

Doug: good news on the cancer.

Our 2013 Civic car turned 100k miles on it.  I did a bunch of maintenance on it. Engine, trans oils,  Air filter, cabin filter, tire pressures. Will run fresh brake fluid thru the system this week.

Took my wife to her first PT appointment this afternoon. 3 story building, not a little one.  I was not allowed to stay in the office, not in the lobby of the building. After she was checked in , paperwork finished: It was basically: "get out"..  Go Outside, in your car or leave completely, come back later.  On the flip side: the therapist was happy with the knee movement my wife has already.  We are only 3 days post op.  I doubt the glue has dried yet. LOL

Ice pack , water cooling wise:  My wife does not want to be tethered to something. If she needs to get up , she takes the ice pack off, moves along. She thinks the hose connectors would leak or something... I do not push the subject..  She is not on Medicare yet, too young. LOL

I sold the pickup bed trailer that I made from the 76 F150 extended cab today. By the time everything is calculated, I think I have around 20 hours of time in the whole 76 project. I did make some money and it figures out to about $8.75 per hour. Even though I'm not employed, I think I'm being paid what I'm worth. :)

I just made this hypothetical front end for the '51 job so I know its only 800 pixels wide. Its incredibly sloppy but may show the right stuff. Yep, its raining.

I mowed the lawn today. I found several pairs of rubber gloves lying along the road. That's a first.

Took the coupe out for a ride yesterday since it was 75 degrees. Weather was changing this week. This morning at 5am there was a big crack of thunder and the sky opened up with hail. Some areas in town had golf ball size. Weather now is some light snow. Highs are in the 40"s this week and lows in the lower 20's. Probably have a lot of frost damage as the stuff around here are starting to come alive. Finally found a way to lube a squeaky door hinge. Put the cover back on the car and wait for the time we can do some car shows. Have a book they print with all the car shows in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa and counted about 45 shows that will probably have to be canceled if things don't clear up by June.

I like that, not sloppy, loose, gives a nice feeling to it. What medium?

Finished a painting last night. I have a friend that drives the Lake freighters. We were talking about the nght sky a while back and he commented about the Northern Lights on Lake Superior. He said they are best when they are off the Keewenaw peninsula, that puts them pretty much in the middle of the Lake. So this one is called "Off the Keewenaw" the ship is the Herbert C. Jackson, I once was lucky enough to get a personal tour of her.

Wow, the northern lights. Thats an illustrator's challenge! Looks peaceful. :)

Mine was just an edited pic, digitally altered. Low res web grab pic of 51 with hi-res 56 grille inserted, then tried to make it look at home and the right color. Texted it to the boss, he showed me the guy's other color choice because I was running one behind. Changed color, texted customer, he said he likes the hood nose chrome to be there. Sent him this revision within a few minutes. And he likes it! Now I go into the week with less questions and more answers.

Started in on replacing the rear wheel wells on Friday and ran out of weld gas. :(
Pulled the car outside and stripped the right quarter panel of the thickest coating of mud I have seen on a flat surface. The quarter most likely is not perfect but it have at least a 1/16 of an inch on the whole thing. The wheel well area is another story, at least a 1/2". After that I moved on to cutting out some old door handles so I can remove the Kindig door handles. Tonight we go back to welding. :)
