Remember the Cosmo tails? Seen em on this 46. At least I think thats what it is. Hood flew open and one of the guys is fixing it.

I agree with cosmopolitan lights. :)

Not using those.

I went back to go to work on the truck today but can't move it from storage yet so kinda stonewalled there. But I had the hood latch out and put it back. Theres no adjustment engineered in but I needed to adjust. What I saw made me kinda sad. Again-  :(  :?

Its just... We can't... I'm not... ugh.

Be that as it may, more later and soon I hope. How about some more tactical diversions?

Thats the 49 Merc, with plastic engine on jackstands. Heres a pile of leftovers-

Spankin new Dynacorn insurance replacement bellybutton Camaro that is to die for if you're into those-

Don't know about you but I sure could be into one.

The low gloss Bronco makes better sense with some accents in place:

Standing by to resume activity on the '51 F-1 5.0. :)

The other F1 went pretty fast and seems to have stalled. Money, lack of employees or something else going on?

No knowledge but same observation. Also observing that very effective and independent bodyman sailing through plain old nasty rust panel replacements and prior repair fixes left and right. So if his is anything like my situation, he is a bottleneck. I suppose its possible theres waffling between Coyote and BBF. The builder in the next stall and I rarely take the opportunity to communicate and maybe half those times we talk about our current tasks.

Welded up a couple grind throughs on the hood top, slapped around a little more up there and prepped one side for filler. Before sanding though, I laid out a simple semblance of a rough graphics indication suggested by the owner-

Got feedback saying like but do want to tie into the stripe around cab. So before I split, I laid out a few versions of this-

So did not get around to slinging any mud. May have hurt myself toting it to my stall, got an elbow stiffening up. But I figure theres no going wrong starting filler work on this to catch it up to the rest of the cab panels.

  Don't look much different but its getting there-

Close up of the interesting spot-

Sanding away happily  :)

Who can be in a bad mood when the kids are home  :?:

Truck in stall = good sign. 8)

Here's one that'll strum a chord on your heart strings-

... and hopefully it was covered with something besides fire as well. :(

Left half shaped up. Thats the trusty secret weapon pipe on top-

Not going down the side yet over on this side. If I recall correctly, the final stroke which made a pretty left fender to hood gap was in the hood, involving the contour where vents used to be, to get less curve along the bottom. I can mud that part on the truck.

Before switching hood sides I brought the right hood hinge down a smidge and that was the mental note engraved when I was suddenly pulled off it before. So in theory I can mud the top part on the stand then put it back on with good fit and then close up fender gap and continue. The valance would be the natural choice for next to mud, to also catch it up with the major panels.

Did the Olds have a date with an acid bath?

Nah, no Batman supervillain action. Just good old fire and falling garage structure I presume. Plus fireman leavings. Did about the same number on it as that 67 Ford truck that was in a tornado. Roof may have gotten hot enough to affect metallurgy. The wing got some damage. Don't know if the hood is steel or 'glass on those. Only glanced. A pity.
Matt

Right side of hood not mudded due to reasons that exceed mortal attention spans.
Matt

Thats my jam system on the right.
