I hear ya. I'm mainly going for not hitting. That spot I trimmed and welded is still tight. Work in progress. I welded the brackets in and am redoing the burnt bondo there and now that the hood can't squirm anymore, I'm evening things up best I can. I'd like to get hood outside and front fenders "rough" primed tomorrow but will see how it goes

At last we have that poor Olds off the top of the current page. :D

You've had  several Kansas vehicles in the shop. Word of mouth advertising????

Location near an automotively active corner of Kansas, perhaps? Lack of similar shops there, maybe? My family was from there and I was born in and raised around Wichita. Could be Kansas aircraft industry folks just hang onto cherry vintage rides more than the national average.

Or it might be word of mouth, yep. Ever heard of us? We have a good backlog of rides needing in. :)

I haven't the foggiest notion why, just try to hold up my end on assigned tasks.

I took hood and fenders off once I established to my satisfaction at this stage... edges and gaps around the hood. With it apart, I can get to everything for finishing touches. Which is what I'm working at still.

Boss liked it. 8)

I got this looking a bit more civilized-

That thing does make cool shadows. :)

Eliminated bolt tab to cowl on fenders. Just made little corner fillers.

Since no more than three of the world's inhabitants find this thread, I doubt theres any point in asking for input on stripe variations but this one is different from the last-

The latch panel is done and accepts the new latch. I will just use the plate that came with the latch so its quick and easy, for me now, to say its done. Could have been SO much better looking without the plate but now it is needed to hide butchery. You'll see. Current adventure: Sand cab and assess required depth and intensity of cab and door redo.

I'll hang the front end back on it as soon as the parts are primed. Cab needs to be off for me to continue though. The usual conundrum state of affairs. I'll figure something out and it will suck but as long as it only sucks for me everyone will be OK.

Yessir, and I'm gonna say 67-72 GMT because of their close proximity to one.

Haven't decided if filler is best on this side considering the can o worms factor. Another hit of polyester sounds pretty good. For out in the middle. Edges over drip rails and such need spot fill.

At least it looks like I may not have to pave the roof. That would be nice. I had to climb down and sit down a spell but made another burst at end of day-

That was the other side, started on. This is what I did sitting down-

Just adding some material to known spots to tune up the gaps.

Oh and hey yeah... now we're talkin! Instrument pods, see? Myeah.
