An old buddy used to have a Honda civic late 70s that was caminoed . It looked like fun . We have an amc pacer in town that has been done as well. That nomad camino looks like factory fresh .

Can anyone direct me to a good pic to do this with, CK's T idea?

I think this ought to have the ribbed roof like a tri five, but got lazy at the end. Thoughts on the Nomadva? In black, its like a coroner's emergency response unit.

I sorta like it. Might be OK if I left the quarter window, even. What you see is a quite enlarged Vega wagon roofline, roughly. Want one now? Thoughts welcome. :)

I would loose the hump at the top of the quarter ........

Quote from: "enjenjo"Fatcat did a V8 powered 82 Escort sedan delivery. It is still not done, but it's probably the only no rust 82 Escort wagon in the state of Ohio. He used two door sedan doors, and most of the rear quarters. The sides were filled on using the window area of a Dodge van.

64 and 65 Chevelle had a two door wagon based on the Elcamino with a roof instead of a bed.

Thats neat. Saw during research that 55-7 wasn't the only time the name Nomad was used. Looks like a Nomad concept van turned into the Astro. Are there pics of Fatcat's creation? Curious now.

That's an improvement but I have no love affair. The 55 is a close pic to a car that someone has built in the coral and gray that was popular in 55. The article was in Streetscene, I think. Many have tried but that man's was really good. Software sure allows the mind to run without to many negatives. :) A headache should be the only pain. :)

I also like it better w/o the hump, but I think the roof should go straight back w/o the decreasing height. Makes it look like the Chrysler wagon that came out a few years ago. All the 50's and 60's cars that I remember had level roofs on the wagons/deliveries. Am I right or wrong? Nice job, btw.

I can picture the black wagon being a solid bracket car with enough room to tote slicks and jack so no trailer. The 55 thing just HAD to be already done, that one is so obvious and trick looking. I am staring at a T coupe pic now. It has pollen all over it, the lighting and background are tricky, and theres three canteens (?) mounted atop the rear of the left running board. This might take awhile...

Prolly less pain than scratched up safety glasses all day.  You are right, pixels vs panels means you can run the thought rod flat out for a spell.  :D

Thank you sir :)  The tilt is what I wanted from the Vega roof. You are correct but I believe the roof slant is better looking. Its what makes the long roof into something I would drive, style-wise. It hinders cargo space but might gain hwy mpg due to aerodynamics. The enormous drip rail probably kills some of that either way.

Quote from: "chimp koose"Extended cab fleetside T ranchero . Shorter rear side windows than a coupe and a bit more wheel base  with the sedan curvature at the back . Box height at the top of the side reveal . The Stepside one I have seen was done well but used the coupe side windows full sized . cab looked a little long . I suppose a guy could use fordor front doors and the original coupe rear side glass to shorten the cab a bit too . Would not take too much coaxing to get me started once the coupe is done .

How do we do fleetside?  Wheels still stick out? :?  :?:

It does strike me as  having potential. The gate glass angle is from the Vega. From the sound of responses, I am thinking everyone would rather see a 64-5 Malibu Nomad. Thats where the lines seem to be shifting. Pushing toward a more station wagon look where I would pursue more of a bumped out hatchback look. Same thing with the Caminova, some guys want stodgy upright roddish lines where I want bulgy fast looking muscle lines. I laugh at myself now because I'm not on any forums about muscle era junk. I would probably be crucified for these abominations if I was.

I put her in reverse for a change of scenery and first thing I noticed is it needs more rake and rims. Thoughts?
