I started thinking about window shapes. A lot of the 4 door hardtop wagons had really nice rear window shapes similar to a nomad. Some of the Chryslers come to mind. The issue with most Rancheros and El Caminos is the vertical rear window. If the rear window angle and the tailgate are similar, it makes it easier to have an artistic flow to the vehicle. My point is if all the lines are similar, shouldn't the flow of the side view be better? More lines parallel with each other rather than intersecting??? Probably makes no sense without a drawing to demonstrate my drivel. :)

Your bifocals are still upside down

The Vega roof angle dropped right on the Nova and followed the angle at the rear of the quarter upper half. I think I made the back window too steep this time. Thought I had the roof flat but it still isn't paralell to the rockers so that does look funny. I think I get what you mean. I like cars. Trucks and wagons are just about always a visual compromise, to me. We can have fun playing with the shapes while its cold outside though. Never know what might boil out.

I definitely like the window frame better.

I like the ugly Bob version too. :D

Is the concertina (razor) wire on the fence supposed to keep the nuts in or out?

Well now that Nova Delivery kinda reminds me of the Vega Delivery.

I like the latest version to but the AMC version and the Nomad version looked more balanced to me because there was less body length behind the rear wheels, If the rear axle was a little further back and the wheel wells moved back to lengthen the wheel base some  (maybe 3")it would give the profile a little better balance to my eye. I know we're dealing with uni-body construction here but maybe a set of rear leaf springs (not mono leaf) could be built with the center bolts further back and maybe a little more for truck use. It keeps the junkworks secure.  :)  Might scratch the roof on one of my wagons though, thanks for the heads up!

At first I just slapped a Vega wagon lid on it. Been adjusting from there. The roof slope and gate glass angle got switched around and when the body line goes completely flat it looks like a Vega with a Nova front clip. So I tried the Nova sedan rear door window frame and squared the roof more too. Thanks for your input!

I think tonight's version is the best yet.

Wheelbase is good. And lets just say floor gets fabbed on it. Bags might be great. The tail looks longer than it does when its just a Nova.

Here is yet another try at more gooder. Got a good side pic of a black Nomad and nabbed the window frame shape plus roof beads, tilted the back glass until it looked right and scooted it forward a couple inches because Nomad fins stick past the gate. Also, I leveled the ground on this version. It was slightly tilted and that was skewing the rake. I wonder how this body mod would affect quarter mile times? Feel free to speculate...

I didn't know what to do with the Nomad side glass so she is still a panel.

Hey! I see a spot where we can jump the fence :!:

Thats a groovy lot of first car. How many chicks fit inside it?    What did it really have in it?

CK, I didn't forget about you just don't picture the imaginary T bed well enough.

I have a different kind of imaginary thing I want to try on my GP too. Sometime.

The T bed would just be a lengthened sedan side as high as the body reveal with coupe fenders ,as the "bed" would extend past the fenders like the coupe body does except they would extend a little farther back .
