THANK YOU EVERYONE,
                                for helping make this happen.
We got home around 5:00 CDT. We had to change a wheel bearing on the trailer some where in Kentucky. The outer bearing hub surface was wore a lot of clearance.  Well we warped the race with Gorilla tape and drove it it. It lasted all way home.  Buy Gorilla Tape, good stuff.
It was good to see every one. It has been a long time.
Floyd and I solved a lot of the problems and built several engines on the way home.  I have a call into Stroud Safety to see if we can get a chute that will work for the mile tracks.
We heard at the 200mph club awards that someone possible a Camero went .5 [1/2] mph faster than owers.     Second ant' bad.

I'll let you know when we make plans to go back.

Thanks for posting the pictures and videos.

Hooley,

Congratulations, and thanks for letting all of us be part of this.  One of these days I will show up just like Bonneville.

Slocrow,
Thank you for taking the vido and having it posted.

George, Great job with the pictures.

I'm still going over it in my head.  The hat still fits, no head swelling going on.
I'm working on the car a little and ordering parts to go again.

I'd love to take credit Hooley but mine is from the starting line on Sat and though I've sent it on too a few, it isn't posted that I know. It's 10 mg if anybody wants it or can change the format so it can post easily.
Thanks, Frank

Hooley, You might of said already but what gear ratio did you use in Ohio and what do you use on the salt?

Hooley

Mikej,
We ran a 2:49 at Bonneville and ran a 3:00 at Texas and Ohio.  I am changing to a 2:75 for the next trip to Ohio.  We ran out of gear before we got to the end of the track.

The engine is making more power with the Alky and more boost.

That should get you to about 240 mph?

Hooley

Realistically maybe it would hit 230 to 235.  Figure in a little drag.

We found out our stopping problem. The second chute got into the first chute. They may have been in the wrong packs. A driver over site.

Here is a link to a sequence of pic's that show the whole run and everyone else's run also.

I will take responsibility for that. I am the one who stuck them in the packs they were in. I did not understand how they were set up. I see the mistake now.I should have asked, but I didn't. I will the next time.

It is my fault. I forgot they even went it different bags and I didn't remember to tell anyone. There was no harm done. When I get in the car I take resposasibility for every thing.  Please do not feel any fault,Please.[/size]

Agreed, no harm done, but in the future, I will ask.

I have changed the rear gears to a 2.75 and used a new Nodular housing.
This should take care of the rear end for strength for a while. I want to build 2 small brackets to help support the brake lines at the rear end. They could have been built by the time I wrote this. I have just been putting it off.

Mr. Hooley Sir, when are you planning a return trip to the Ohio mile, Wilmington area. June, July, September or all three? Just looking ahead as this high speed thing has spiked my viewing interest and it's nice to know someone there.  Frank

Slocrow,
I am not sure when we will get back to There. I am sure it won't be June. Maybe July or Sept. I would like to go every time but funds limit that.
