974 going to the Wilmington OH. Mile

I ordered 2 new back tires from Carol Shelby Goodyear for the back of 974. They are a wide land speed tire in stead of a NASCAR tire. I hope it helps with the first 1/4 mile for traction.

  I have been mounting the push board to the front of the Chevy pickup. I'll try to put a picture up tomorrow.
I am planning on being at the July meet at Wilmington.

The new Good Year tires came in. Mounted them on the old wheels and they were too much balloon. I ordered a pair of wheels from Marsh Racing Wheels that are 9 1/2" wide just what the tires needed.  I went by there on the way to the Petie Jean swap meet in Arkansas and picked them up.  The tires are mounted up and on the car. She's standing tall and looking proud.  
     JUST 2 WEEKS AND A DAY BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR OHIO.

I waited too long to book a room too.  The closest one I could find (in my price range) was a few miles south in Hillsboro but I'll be there Thursday through Sunday.  See all y'all there.

How far is the spectator parking from the race course?

          The parking is real close to the track, they broad cast on the CB, and they have light up boards posting the speeds.

         I am not sure about the MPH boards.  Those may have been at the Texas Mile.
 
  I heard from John [ aka Wsjunk] and He will be  riding to Wilmington, OH with me.  It will be good to him along.

   I started gathering stuff up to pack for the trip.
I got the Easy-up out and made some repairs to it. We will be needing shade. I'll clean out the trailer make sure everything is packed in. I'll make sure the Gorilla Tape is packed.

Just found out today that OBT and I will be the Muskegon contingent as Rob is a tad under the weather and under MD's orders to stick close to home.

We will be coming down in the Bullitt so should be in there mid-day Friday.

Glad to see that John is coming along with Hooley.
