I re-taped and painted a door molding. Haven't put it on yet.

Matt, fixing as you go is always a good thing. :)

I am settling in to being a classroom teacher . the last 34 years have been teaching in the shop . I have to learn the names of 100 new kids . :o

Thanks guys. CK, I find myself settling into being the only staff member capable of filler work. Looks like thats for keeps and I'm already a month deep. Expect the worst of everything, thats all there is to get so like it I guess. Being good at something only gets penalized.

Replaced my garage door opener today. Been doing it the hard way all summer but that will change my tune.  :)

It went like this: Finished up the GDO task but all afternoon I kept looking at the yard and empty gas can. So like usual, in the GP trunk it goes to get a refill for tomorrow. Unloading that, I'm noticing the sun angle is still above the treetops so theres a few minutes to spare, and that the woofer box is trying to slide off the axle hump into the pan. Priorities and purposes have changed and the stereo hasn't worked for years.

Out it came with some huffin and puffin. 3 cubic feet box holding two feet of woofer and an amp like an encyclopedia. 80 lbs worth on a bathroom scale, same as going to aluminum heads. :)

So got a little stance back maybe? Lost a little bite maybe? Feels dang good. The 255s look embarrassing under there, she takes 275s and is due a pair. It was the head unit that only lasted a couple years and it is still in place to fill the hole, as are the 6x9s. But there are a couple woofer slots in the shelf. Savoring exhaust notes is more important.

Looking real hard at some seriously ugly cooked and can't see out of tint on the back window. Sides are peeling too, its all over 20 years old. Yuck. But it might be a spell before another burst of wherewithall occurs.

What would you guys think of some fabbed window louvers on this if you saw it? The top of my back seat is incredibly still intact and needs to stay that way. Needs a new window anyway, had 80DA marks on it when I got it.

Window louvers would be semi-effective. That being said, I have not been a fan of any of the mustang louvers so IMHO it would be difficult to block enough sun and be attractive. But I am biased about louvers in general. :) Take this as a grain of salt. :)

I went to Hooker Ok. for a show today. Great weather, caught up on social life, no really impressive new rods there. 169 cars, good turnout but a long ways from the record. Last year it sprinkled most of the day. Today was the opposite. :) I rolled across 2300 miles on the way home. That's not very many since it was finished in 2019. I have put almost 600 miles on it in two trips this summer. :)

I learned something today. My hands no longer work well enough to make a decent cut with a gas cutting torch. The cuts I made today looked like it was chewed off by a Muskrat. it's discouraging.

Yeah , gettin old is a PITA ..  I have tremors (shakes) in my hands for over 1 yr.  Very mild form. Its not parkinsons, there is a couple names and unknown causes  for it.  If I notice it , I kinda look at my hands and make it stop. LOL

Wife and I have made some larger decisions this summer. I hate being an adult sometimes, altho usually there is a different "A" word associated with me.  We put our retirement land up for sale. We have owned it 16 yrs, never built that retirement house, all we have done with it is pay the property tax. The market for raw land in the area is weak. Altho 6 new houses have been built the last 2 yrs there.

Plan A is : We figure another year or 2 maybe with the RV. Then the dually and RV will go down the road. We have a Plan B too.. and of course I have Plan C which I have kept to myself so far.  LOL

You may not follow Steve Magnante on Youtube.. There has been talk for weeks that he was very ill.  The videos have been reruns for weeks on Steves channel.

Steves family came out and let it be known Steve has a brain infection via a Video on Steves Youtube channel. Video was by Rick Debruhl who works with Steve on Barrett Jackson auctions.  Rick was a TV new person here for many years.

I hope with the family release of information now is not an indication that Steve is real bad and no recovery in sight.
