Sirstude, I hope you have a good uneventful trip. :) C.K., I'm glad it's not worse. Matt, are the elves at work? I wonder if Mr. Nobodydunnit is hiding. :)

I redid the mounting of the window unit air conditioner in the shop. After I removed the insulation around the unit, this is what it looked like underneath.  I knew it was bad but I did not know it was as bad as it was. It was about to fall out of the window opening. I am giving into heat and firing that baby up tomorrow.  We are in for a few days of over 100 degrees and I am surrendering.

About 1 week ago. I removed some fittings from my RV switch valve for the propane.  2 fittings indicated a small leak , found by my sniffer tool.  It was very minor leak, since each propane tank lasted 4 to 5 weeks easily.

Unhooked the valve, removed fittings, used the approved teflon tape this time. I installed this switch valve 2 yr ago.  I used the approved paste thread sealer then.

So far I do not smell propane and the sniffer tool does Not trigger.

Had a great trip, 3100 cars were there, nice to see the Canadians back.  I hit a foot long 4x4 on the way back, no damage.

GTP threw the inner belt today coming home. Only peeled off one rib of edge maybe 15" long so trimmed shag and put it back to complete the commute. Then put on the squeaky new one I tried on the GT when it got recent water pump. Not chirping so far but only drove it into the garage. Came away branded inside forearm with one bubbly hex head burn and two 1st degree-ers plus bloody top of forearm. FWD badges of honor.

69 Mustang GT job's new doors and especially upper door hinges have almost every hole in the wrong place... latches wouldn't go in either door and hinge holes off as much as a half inch. Plus the big wire spring on lower hinges partially covers a bolt so had to grind the spring. New doors leave big rocker gaps but otherwise are not horrible.

I took the 46 for a joy ride into work yesterday when the left front wheel bearing came apart. It did not smoke or make any noise to let me know we had a problem with a bad outcome coming. The wheel * a little and then dropped. The wheel damaged the fender and stayed in the wheelwell, damage from it destroyed the spindle, caliper control arm rim and tire plus the body work now needed.  :(  :(

Just so y'all know I still enjoy crowd parking.. We ran a few errands last week.  obviously we took the dually and I parked it out away from other vehicles since this truck takes up ALL parking spot and then some.

We came out from Wally World and found what you see in the photo. There were zero vehicles around the truck when I parked it. There was still plenty of closer parking to the right of the truck towards the building.  LOL  We were in the store maybe 20 minutes. It took longer to check out than gather the items

Tony, it's the same on the highway.  People come up on my rear but don't pass, or if they do, they hang by my side, pacing me. Ticks me off.  We were at Walmart yesterday also, to buy some soft drinks that Costco doesn't sell. TWO checkout lanes were open and had long lines. Won't be long before ALL the checkouts will be self-serve. Waited in line a long time.

We then headed to Costco, and on the way, cars would hang in the left lane on the in-town fourlane. But, they were moving fairly quickly until all of a sudden, everyone was going the limit. Ha, there was a black Explorer with municipal plates and a spotlight ahead of the group.  Wasn't a cop though, but a guy wearing a T-shirt. Probably an administrator or something.

We have learned the times to visit the local Wallee World and Safeway (food store)  when the regular check out lanes are open.  If you are too early , only the self serve lanes are open.

Many weeks ago before we learned the proper time for Wallee World with full servoice check out..  We had a large amount of stuff in the cart.. Self check out is a small area at each check out. I was bagging stuff as the wife scanned. I was setting the bags on the floor, spread out, just basically being a PITA , making a mess.  Once the cart was empty enough, I started to place the bags in the cart. Also I use 3 to 5 bags instead of one.  I guess its childish , but then I do not give a shat. I am old , grumpy

I went to a big swap meet.  I bought a $3 bottle of water and I visited with a lot of old friends.  A great day.
