went and picked up a new starter ,i could see at a glance the difference in them . the hole sizes were  miles apart. when the knurled part hits the bottom of the hole it is a push fit, perfect.install tomorrow and see if i have any other issues. thanks wayne

they are 3/8 bolts and the knurled end fit is sloppy, this starter and other parts were in the camper when it was towed to my house. only got it started once before having issues with the starter. i have several sets of 3/8 starter bolts. i think i need the 3510s to start with (no pun intended)as all your info makes sense. be tomorrow before i get one and try it. i think im on the right track. thanks

wayne ,it looks like i have the shorter soleinoid on my 350. the bolts have alot of slop in the starter housing. it is the 3510m starter. then i need to pick up the 3510s and proceed from there. thanks wayne, young kids and others behind the counter did not know enough to to make the effort. many thanks again.   tom

have an 86 gm 30 1 ton motor home, i believe 21 ft. it has 168 tooth flywheel, how would i know if i have the correct starter for this flywheel? 350 eng. starter does not seem to line up properly. put brace on rear of starter but it wants  to keep moving. starter bolts wont hold that end from moving. tried shims same thing. thanks . :?

Rodder's Roundtable / ball joints
May 11, 2010, 11:28:41 AM
thanks, i have 6 cyl. spindles on now , but am planning on granada or comet as soon as i locate some. was not sure if the taper was the same for all of these as i only have the 6 cyl. right now and i have not bought any ball joints yet. i thought of using my falcon ball joints, because they are in like new condition, but screw ins would take up less space at the end of the arm.  thanks again.

does anyone know if the screw in ball joints from chrysler, the ones that fit mustang  2 spindles, will fit my 64 falcon spindles? making new lower arms and it would be  easier with this style if they fit my spindles . are they the same taper? i think the part # is k-7222 .  thanks

my first attempt was for about a half hour and i soon realized that i had my leads on backwards, no way my little bracket should look like that  .any effect on chrome? vice grips look pretty good, but thats not chrome. so far im really pleased with the results.

yes that is it, i have heard it called a few different things. i had good results from what i had done even tho it was such a short time it was producing some results. i only have about 2 amps going in . what about different kinds of anodes, would that make any difference? would a piece of stainless produce better results? i had heard overnite or longer, but it was looking promising. nothing big just brackets and things to see how it works. is there a limit to the amount of amps applied? my old vicegrips are looking better, will it affect chrome?
