Plenty of rain here in the AZ mountains this tuesday... geeez. Its raining right now.....

this weekend I hook the dually to the RV and run it down the mountains to central Arizona. Its about 215 miles to the storage lot we keep the RV in.  Will check and see if my car trailer has been stolen or not since its in the same storage lot?

Over the weekend I watched a few TV shows of season 1 of the 1965 version of Lost in Space. I had watched the show when it was new.  Oh my gosh its different to watch it as a senior citizen now. The special effects are not very special.

I read the other day Bob Riggle had passed. He was the Hemi Under Glass driver for decades.

Bob passed on September 11th, 2023. Age 88.... He lived in Chino Valley Arizona.

We watched Bob and other wheel standers over the decades. Still amazing to watch

A post is on the HAMB too.

Josh and I spent today tearing down some early Ford rear ends. A 39, a 40, and a 48. The 39 rear, 4.44 ratio, is going to North Carolina to a new home in a garden tractor. The 40 and the 48 moving parts are going to France to live again in a hot rod. All the brakes, bells, and backing plates are for sale along with all the small parts. It took about 5 hours to strip them down completely.

I built some ramps to make it easier to do maintenance on older vehicles and on later model cars.  The commercial ramps are too steep for these vehicles.  I got the idea from a you tube video but then I modified them to suit my needs.  The ramps are detactable so that they are out of the way. I will use wheel chocks on the rear wheels after the vehicle is up on the ramps.

My fellow bodyman got the Nomad body up on the lift without it snapping in half.  :)  New chassisful of Corvette stuff is supposed to be here mid-week for it so I reckon coatings underneath is about to happen.

I just straightened the cowl vent panel on the 69 GT. A dab of mud there and the whole thing sans hood is primer-ready. Aaand a 73 Mustang just got dropped off.

Hopefully here is a photo of one the ramps laying on its side with the dimensions of the individual pieces written on the boards.  You would also need four old door hinges that have been modified to have removable pins.  I made a couple of handles to make it easier to carry the ramps.

I will try to post the photo again.  I am having trouble manipulating the posting on the board, it will not let me post the photo in a way that I was able to just yesterday.

Was going to rebuild front brakes on my truck, just replaced with reman calipers from Napa instead, as there are no rebuild kits anymore. Looking at same situation in rear. 1999 S10..

Tuesday, I rebuilt one carb on my 67 Corvair. Today, I'm going to rebuid the other one. A lot of gunk in the first one, so I imagine there will be in the second, also.

I am up to my eyeballs in marking and prep work for my teaching assignment. I have probably 50 assignments to mark daily if everyone attends and does their work . I am at school probably 3 hours a day after classes and about 4 hours each weekend so far . I have no time for toy cars . :(
