Jaybee I sure hate to hear that. But thats what old guys generally do, put off everything about well-being. Being uprooted to a facility of any sort just sucks as does being too far along to fix many things. Keep thinking good thoughts about both of you going back to your homes. And think how much living that is. Remarkable.

Pictures of fiberglass 2" widened Studebaker M-series fenders from Studebaker International. Wheels are just rollers. When installed on this pre-Champ truck generation, the fenders do not appear to stick out wider at rear as with the later dually-esque setup like Frank's. I made a quick check of that. Kinda neat / odd how they are the same fender all around.

The 65 GM crocus yellow car is a running driving but incomplete scratch (yes, aluminum body starting from his sketch) build from another forum. I just "painted" it on the computer and faked an interior, filled in a windshield frame, added pinstripes and put the turn signals on a puny light bar when they started talking body color and some suggestions came about.

This is what I was looking at when the light bar came to mind. Cover of a TRJ. :)

Dad liked it too, the other day. It wowed him in bare metal.

Took his advice today and tried the spare on the noisy corner of my daily driver to confirm or deny the source. Crap. Trying to muster gumption to put a hub on before bed. It felt worsening the past week. That hub didn't last very long. The racket is either it or the differential. Theres a road I don't want to go down again so soon either. Hope this is it.

It was!  :)  Hooray.

Took an hour last time, hour and a half this time. Had to break off old metal harness connector clip to install on new hub because plastic type provided, with duplicate in bag, doesn't work. They made it more labor, imagine that. By not boxing the metal clip type with hub.

I really didn't want to do it but all the stuff was still right there where I swapped hubs last.

Here I go into the eighth week of sanding. Think good thoughts, all. :)

Sounds like I start teardown of the minty Bronco tomorrow. The one held together with screws went into the storage bldg and this came out. Thought it went home last week.

Meanwhile, still sanding.

The notmad has vette wheels. Is that what suspension it has?

Yessir. I believe he said it is "mostly C5 stuff".

I got all but the right fender blocked out today, on the 69. I am sanded plumb out.

I just caught the "notmad".  Good one Bill.

I took the day off today and spent it showing one of my former students the town where we live.  He was a French foreign exchange student from Paris that was in my class the first year I taught 46 years ago.  We visited him in Paris last fall and he showed us around the city and he had us to his flat for a meal.  It was a great day today.  When I showed him our 54 Chevy, he was very excited, and I drove him home to the family where he is staying in it.  It was a big deal for him and fun for me.  Some days are diamonds.

Forgot to mention it but I replaced the failing fluorescent lights in my garage with 4 of those LED bulbs with the swing down light panels that screw into regular light bulb sockets . HOLY MAN do those suckers light up a room ! I picked up an extra 6000 lumens (whatever they are) , The equivalent of an extra 8' fluorescent bulb in my garage . I paid about $120 for four bulbs . I would have had to replace 4 ballasts in my other fixtures and I was having trouble finding any . 8)  8)  8)  8)

Just to let y'all know that my saga of magnetic personality continues:

We visited a Lowes home improvement store couple weeks ago.  Drove the F350 since I was purchasing items that would not fit the daily Honda car.

We came out to this scene in the photo. Obviously I parked out , away from the store.  Many empty parking spaces.  If I was 30 yrs younger, there may have been a few flat tires on the small truck or not? Altho I did drop the tailgate and load my items..    Um , carefully.

We planted uncle Gordon yesterday per his wishes. RIP, a foot deep. Kansas dirt is hard and the wind is strong. All post hole diggers are not created equal.

Managed to hit 27MPG  :)  but also 313K. Had a safe trip. In the GTP.
