One of our favorite places.  We have been there many times.  We usually stay at the Old Faithful Inn these days, but when we were younger, we camped.  There is a one way dirt road off of the highway between Tower and Manouth called Blacktail Plateau.  I like to drive it and enjoy the scenery and sometimes you see some wildlife.

Another interesting spot just out side the park and north and west of west Yellowstone is Quake Lake

I ran the truck and RV across a CAT Scale for weight ticket. the whole rig is about 1200 pounds heavier than I thought.  Kinda explains the MPG with the rig.  Next I want to run the truck by itself on the scale... See what it weighs

Today I helped replace a cable on a large flag pole that is situated on a memorial near where I live.  Then I helped raise a large flag on a windy day.  Seemed like the right thing to do as we near Memorial Day weekend.

Good job, John.
Are there any believers in "resale red". I'd like to know if anyone thinks there is any truth that red sells the easiest. :)

Nice job John.
Yes, I am a believer. When I worked in the Corvette shop, we would sell a red vette quicker then a blue, white or brown vette with the same options.
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

I know that everyone says that red sells well and I have sold some red hot rods but I believe that white is the most popular automobile color.  So if white is the most popular color how does red sell best?

because of the expense of red paint , I think a good portion of the resale market where they do a paint job and flip it are painted white due to cost of materials ? Poor/quick bodywork is best hidden under white . Also I have read that some of the new models of car have a selection of colors with types of red going for a few thousand more than other colors. If a company orders a fleet of vehicles , that would mean that white (the cheapest color selection ) could rack up impressive sales numbers. Just a theory based on pure speculation , no data to support it .... you know , internet fodder. as an example though , if you picture a custom/performance/hobby vehicle , I would speculate that given the choice of 2 otherwise identical vehicles , the red one would get more interest based on the idea that most car people like to have their vehicle stand out and be noticed .

I finished moving the axle on a trailer today. I stretched the frame 30 " and had to move the axle back 11". It gave me fits, but I got her done!

My first floor bathroom is gutted, I hired a guy to do it, he said he would at least have the toilet working in one day. That was five days ago. It's still not working. >:( I figure at best another week.

I'd like to see that 55 in real life.

I know, but Matt has a good eye, and I would like to see his take on it.

I checked and the NSRA does not do a hard luck award.  Ohio Blue Tip deserved one though.  While he was filling up with gas on Friday morning a woman backed into the front of his car.  (As if filling the car with gas is not painful enough). The damage was confined mostly to the fender and bumper.  He has insurance but the woman who backed into him does not.  He checked with his insurance and he is covered.  They made the trip home after the weekend just fine.  The damage did not affect the drivability of the car.

A sad thing to happen at a time when we were supposed to be having fun.
