I spent over an hour with a small wire brush and a can of brake clean and the t5 looks like a trans now. No matter where I store it, it's getting put in a bag. :)

My brother stopped by this morning on his way to the Stray Kat 500 at Dewey, Oklahoma.  I am going in the morning.  My brother is on the road a lot and todays drive was mostly in the rain.

My shop now has AC. I was out there today, it was 87 humid degrees outside and I was inside in 76 degree de-humidified air. I love it.

Frank, it's got to be great to have a/c.  The foreman of the Ford garage where I started in HS turned out to be my mentor.  He left that garage after many years and went on his own.  He a/c'd his shop. He said if you heat it in winter, you should cool it in summer.  I dehumidify my shop as I don't work there a whole lot, but when I went in there today, it fell very cool.  It was 91 outside, I didn't check the indoor temp.

Enjoy it.

I made an attachment for the free motorcycle jack I acquired  a couple of weeks ago.  I wanted to buy a motorcycle to go with the jack but my wife convinced me that my motorcycle days are over.  So I made a tool that would help me install wheels and tires.  Some of our vehicles have large heavy tires and this will help me raise them up into position and index them to the studs.  Tire shops uses something similar.  (that's where I got the idea)

The attachment simply lays on top of the jack.  It has two rollers that I saved from two treadmills that I salvaged over the years.

I went to the Liberal Ks. car show today. The number's aren't as high as pre covid but it was a decent show. I spent most of the day visiting with people I've known for quite a while. It was nice to catch up with everybody. There were many cars from Colorado and a group from the Tulsa Ok. area. That's a better than 300 mile run for them. :)

Still on the road.  In Wyoming. Headed towards Yellow Stone park. Currently in Buffalo WY... 2 nites here.

4300 miles on this trip so far.  Headwinds and hills in WY dropped the MPG into the 5 - 6 area for a while. 80 mph speed limit out here...  I am still running 66 to 68 mph most of the time.

You wonder why ppl drive like they do out here. Toyota Tundra pulling a bumper hitch travel trailer. Passed me. Got in front of me and slowed down a bit.  So on the next incline when his truck could not keep up, I passed him.  No big deal? Then he did it again, passed me on flat ground to be in front of me. Next incline I passed him again and made sure he never got in front of me again.  yeah , fuel is only $5.45 or so out here.  LOL

One of our favorite places.  We have been there many times.  We usually stay at the Old Faithful Inn these days, but when we were younger, we camped.  There is a one way dirt road off of the highway between Tower and Manouth called Blacktail Plateau.  I like to drive it and enjoy the scenery and sometimes you see some wildlife.

I sprayed for bindweed this morning. This was the 1st use of the "rickshaw" sprayer. I sprayed way more chemical in 2 hours than using the hand sprayer all day. The question is: did I kill anything? :)

There was wildlife wondering around. 1 bison did the slow walk down the road with 40 cars behind him. He was not in our lane.  I also got a replacement for my senior lifetime park pass. My card was in rough shape, cracked. The ranger commented that she had not seen one that bad in a while.

The F350 with no trailer and very moderate speeds in the park showed an average of 20.2 mpg..  Diesel around here is $5.60 to 6.00 a gallon. At 45 mph in 10th gear the tach showed about 1250 rpm.

I'm back on line. My computer died two weeks ago, power supply. This one is so fast it types before I know what to say. ;D

I bought a new to me truck today. 2008 Chevy 2500 crew cab short bed, 4x4. Low mileage, no rust, and the air works. I can't afford one of those new fangled trucks any more.
