I've installed Fumoto valves on both my daily drivers.  Should make it easier next time.

Did a bit of maintenance on vehicles and myself recently..  Filters , oil , cabin, air on the Civic Honda car.  Colon inspection on me. It had been 11 years from the last camera plumbing  probe inspection. No new problems, no cancer, no polyps.

The medical office ppl tell me: your A1C has gone up.. You need to watch the diet, exercise (I am over weight , should lose 15 lbs)... yada yada.  My A1C is 5.6 ... I almost said: are you Shatting me? The 5.6 at my age is dang good.

so any way, I have been taking brisk walks for 20 minutes 4 or 5 times a week now. Cut back the volume of food I eat. My wife is still learning to reduce the food amount she cooks.

We had a school lockdown drill yesterday . I made comments to the kids about the bomb drill from years ago where you were supposed to get under your desk to protect you from "the bomb " . I was amazed at how easily the kids turned off and surrendered their phones . Probably the longest 45 minutes of their waking lives without a phone .

I read Corvette production is shut down due to lack of parts...  aka supply chain issues.

In my area there are still many "Hiring" signs in business windows.  There are still articles I read about labor shortages.  My question for over 1 year now is the same: If there is a labor shortage , why is traffic congestion unchanged?  Commute traffic is still very heavy each day. So , where are all these people going?  If there was no labor shortage, how heavy would traffic congestion be ?

I am out of the T5 business. I had a guy come over today and buy my entire stock of transmissions and parts. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He also bought some of the tools, and an engine, and a bead blaster. Now I can get some Studebaker parts.

An old forum bud was by the shop this week. We met due to having the same kind of car only his is stick. He came down in it years ago, lives north a couple hours.

Anyway yeah 69 GP first. Still has his too, but since then he did a beautiful dark blue 69 Firebird he calls his Trans Am. He came to town to buy a Fiero. I did try to sway him to a more posh comfy Grand Prix of course, but Fieros have some kind of draw that I can't understand, like Miatas. Men want to drive them now, yuck whats up with that?

Might not understand it but I sure can spot the downsizing trend even though he is a muscle era guy and quite roddy at heart.

Maybe thats where all the rods are... in garage museums, not seen because we're down to wanting bargain basement sports cars and even blown 22.5mpg in town Grand Prixs with engines over wheels are less desireable somehow. I reckon for me thats a good way to keep it but I can't explain the wanting to drive anything so cramped. However my friend did find a fairly cherry 2M4 and drive it home. woohoo, Go Pontiac!?

We went out for a steak dinner to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary.  My brother is taking us out for dinner tomorrow to celebrate.  Time does fly.

Congrats on your anniversary Yeoman . We had an interesting day at school yesterday with a bear spray/handgun incident at the front of the building . No shots , 3 arrested , many feeling the effects of the spray .

Thanks, CK.  So you're saying there wasn't a bear, but bear spray was used?

No bear , it is a common way for people to inflict painful retribution on someone . Its a people vs people thing . This has happened before here , just this time there was a handgun waved around . probably about 2 boys wanting the same girl .

Other day: my phone started blowing up with text messages.  The Manchester CT high school my great niece just started as a freshman year student was under lock down from email threats received.  She still deals with emotional stuff from the school bus and car incident where she was hit 4 yrs ago getting off the bus. She was 10 then , she is now 14.  I have not read if anyone has been arrested for the threats.  no shooter was ever found on school property.

I may need an enclosed cargo trailer next year..  naturally I looked around craigs list.  Prices are way higher than last time I looked for the same stuff. Plenty of the usual fraud scammers on craigs list on trailers. Near new looking trailers priced at $500.00 , 805.00, $1,008.00 That are worth 4 or 5 times the amount.   I am not sure how ppl can fall for that crap?

A friend had a 24 foot trailer I could borrow. He up & died.  The trailer ended up with his younger brother.  That brother and I do not get along.  Even my buddy did not get along with his little brother.
