Quote from: "WZ JUNK"Just returned from a trip to visit an old friend.

Were you able to see Sum too? It has been at least 12 yrs since I was thru there and visited Sum.

Sorry I was not much  help on info with Canyon de Chelly park..

We spent 3 days with Sumner and Dottie.  They took us exploring the many sites in the area where they live.  It was a great experience that we will never forget.  From there we wandered across Colorado and revisited some of our favorite places.  Then we toured through the Flint Hills of Northeast Kansas on our way home.  Great trip.  Our next outing will be another return to Yellowstone and then the Bitterroot Mountains of Idaho.

It was so good to be out among the living again.

All those who wander are not lost.

Woke up (4:30am) to a chilly 56* here at the house.  Weather fronts moving thru again. This year 2021 has been so windy and wacky weather patterns.

Wife came down sick at breakfast this morning...    We were eating the same food platter we split in half.  I was eating the same food.  She got sick. Had to come home and she is finally asleep.  Geeez, I am usually the one that happens to.

I mad a jaunt to the 38th Atwood Rod Run today. The car count was 204. One of the club members told me their goal was to break 200. They didn't know what to expect this year. Here's a few pics for everybody:

I spent Sunday night at Colby.  I guess we could have hung out for a couple more days and went to the show.  :D

I'm sorry the pics weren't clearer. I haven't got the shrinking of pics figured out on the new camera. The radio in the Stude was branded studebaker. I had not seen one before. The yellow falcon is a rocky mountain race week car. The 55 has an emblem on the fender that said 383 stroker.

Quote from: "phat46"I started my 383 stroker today! I tried a couple days ago and had no spark, with a brand new Accell distributor. I took the module out of my old distributor and it fired up. Ran it for 20 minutes at 2000 rpm. Temp stayed under 200, oil pressure stayed over 50 lbs the whole run. I am so happy, this is the first real performance engine I have built, I have done several motors using mostly factory parts, but this one used only the factory block. Now for a test drive! 😀😀😀😀😀

Congratulations, wish I could build engines to. I can assemble them but that's the extent.

Took a two hour trip to southern Michigan Sunday and picked up a set of Falcon van doors for our hippy van Paid $230.00 for the pair and felt like I may have robbed him. Doors were off a van from Oregon and nearly rust free.

More boring yard work. The back yard is ready to plant now. I don't like being this boring. LOL

We went to Menard's and she bought more plants for the yard, and I bought gator blades for her JD tractor. Talk about boring...

We gotta be pushin 40 days of rain here. Very few glimpses of direct sunlight in that time. Been a few deaths too, in my outer circle in that time but lost a top notch family friend weekend before last. All my little old friend ladies have passed now. Lots of grey to digest but I'd like to borrow a cup of boredom off'n youse mugs. :)

A stick got caught in my exhaust shield at lunch in pouring rain and I just dragged it for a spell although didn't see it first so went like this   for a sec.

A 67 GTX came in the shop and wow, a new quarter panel showed up for it today. Also    because I'd have guessed no on availability. That green Camaro I did stuff to went home today. Josh slapped some mini tubs in it first though and that was a bullet I was glad to dodge.

Phat- Congrats!  :)  I always wanted to at least screw together an SBC for myself. Many happy miles to you.

KB, thanks for the peeks. Always inneresting to see what others deem worthy of pics. :)

416... you rascal. Them look right usable, the hippie van doors. I'da thunk they had brown bottom disease. You done good there. :)

One more smiley to make a whole handful- :) and to grow on.

Quote from: "enjenjo"I drove to Vermillion Oh. yesterday to pick up a mechanical speedo S10 T5 at a great price. Today I drove to Dearborn Mi. to exchange a warrantee 4L110 Ford transmission, called beforehand, and when I got there he told me he didn't have one in stock, so I have to go back up Thursday to get it. I 75 is all torn up for road repair clear from Toledo to Dearborn, and Shaffer road is down to one lane in each direction. It took me as long from Melvindale to Dearborn as it took me from Swanton to Melvindale.

I went by the Rouge plant and there were hundreds of new Ford trucks setting every where they could find space, on both sides of the road. Shortage of computer chips so they can't ship them.

My granddaughter works for Manheim auctions and said they are shipping used cars in from Canada, exchanging the metric gauge panels to Imperial so they can sell them in the US.

24, Telegraph, to I -275 to I -94 should get you around that mess Frank.

I went back up today and picked up the transmission. I took Southfield road to Michigan avenue to Shafer road 10 minutes from I75 to the shop. Much better. Of course with the Michigan roads by the time I got back to Ohio there is something clanking and banging in the front suspension.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

What's wrong with Michigan roads!? 😂 Our Governor is on it, she won the election on her "Fix the * roads" campaign....we're still waiting for that. Meanwhile she continues to break her own Covid rules and get caught, Do as I say peasants, not as I do! 😜

I'm getting close to the end of the heavy yard work. I had 2 areas to plant today. Planted wheel rolled , sprinklers setup in the back yard and watered, all before beer thirty. :)
