Installed a new toilet for my brother saturday.. Little different design. Bolt on items not exposed as the basic toilet designs are.  Took my time.  Got it done.  He is my much older , less handy brother.  Only brother I have actually.

2nd bathroom has an olde design counter top in it.  Narrow edge of counter top extends over the top of the toilet tank. Who ever came up with the counter top  design is a #*&@% idiot.

New toilet is also taller as my brother and his wife have leg & hip "issues" getting up from chairs etc..

I bought a diamond type blade for block, concrete , tile to cut this counter top section off. Material is some type of poured material into a mold and cured. Mirror of course sits right on top of the counter edge.  LOL  . Wish me luck on this......  This 2nd toilet install will be mondays project.  And some light switches changed out.

Went out of town with a buddy to pick up a 1970 351 cleveland block and crank . Standard bore , removed from total write off car in 73 or74. Guy had some nice toys , including a 66 mustang fastback with a BOSS 302 swapped  into it .

Took my 350 block to the machine shop today. They have a big sign in the front door saying they are restricting walk in traffic due to the "Covid virus from China". You call the number on the sign and talk with Phil, the  owner inside. Kinda funny discussing what machine work you want and different options with a guy on the other side of the wall. When you get it all figured out you drive round back into a bay and they unload your truck and wish you a good day. I never left the truck. The new normal? 😜

Couple items checked off the list for my brothers house.

light switch was non operative ..  Pull cover plate off.  Ground wires not run to switch or outlet. Ground wire was there. Someone had not attached them. There was NO  GFCI outlet there.  Standard outlet installed some time back.

Cut off the piece of the counter top.  Some type of plastic , polymer material or similar.. Stunk to high H as I cut the material. That icky plastic burning smell.

Oh well.. there is more items on the list I need to do for him.

Tony if you are so inclined that plastic countertop can be sanded and polished up just like paint. When they make them, out of polyester resin, they are sanded and polished, as they come out of the mold with a dull finish and parting lines from the multi piece molds.

Helped my soon to be son in law with his 04 chev truck . they bought it to be a farm truck but on the 1 hour drive home he decided it was too nice to trash in the farm yard . It needs rockers and cab corners to be a good driver so we stripped the rockers and cab corners off it today .  The new rockers have been fit up ,we need to fit the cab corners and then start welding. Wife and daughter worked on flower beds along the house . Worked hard and loved every minute .

I attached the cowl induction hood scoop and I installed all the parts to the function air intake.  It is yard work for me the rest of the day.

Yea...  I was block sanding the area I cut. Flatten the side edge  out, roll the top edge over to match.  My SiL came in and told  me  it was not necessary, as she wanted to replace the whole top and vanity. Well: there is a reason I am helping with alll this labor. They dont have the money.

Yesterday I washed my 40' flagpole to remove the mold and mildew on the north side of the pole.  The upper 30' was the hardest part to wash.

The pole tilts down.  :D   In late November I tilted it down and place a large lighted star on top.  Then in early January I remove the star and wait until May to display the flag again.  It is something I usually do with my two young grandsons but this year is different.  I will wait to run the flag up when we can all be together.  Tradition.
