My wife has had surgery for both hands carpel tunnel and 6 or 7 trigger fingers over the last 20 years.  She has had very good outcomes with all.  Not too long on the recovery.

This is what I can't understand. Normal people get to have their problems fixed. I stayed home today because I worked through pain to a point where my whole bad arm is pretty much useless. Certainly can't get medical help because of the health insurance burden. I am clueless how you guys have doctors and can retire and even have rods. Mind= boggled.

Today I learned how to use a long sleeved shirt as a sling. Next is how to become a lefty. Running behind posting yesterday's pics on the A.

Sorry about that, pain does give ne a snotty attitude.

Allow me to turn that into a constructive lesson by pulling on the collective experience here:

Anyone have any tips for washing a hand without using the other?  Kinda stumped on that. :?

Sounds like some of you may have encountered that conundrum.

Put your hand in hot/warm soapy water and swish it around like an agitator? That's probably what I would do.

So just put a few drops of Dawn in the stool and give 'er a flush?    Brilliant!

Kidding    thanks  :)  Ignore my rant tone guys, its never at you. Aww.

Took 2 ibuprofen and drove twenty miles of backroads with the loud one before the craft fair rush hits full force and school lets out. That helped. Not as much as sock over hand to remind and prevent usage while at home. That was close, almost needed a sling. Got a couple more days to rest it now.

I am in a rain delay, waiting to leave for the last big local car show of the year.  The sky is clearing and I will leave soon.

Tomorrow is the make up day for our fall nostalgia race at MOKAN. I will make at least one pass in the old truck.   Hooley is racing with a group of gasser for the title "KING of the Gassers". They even have a crown for the winner.

I have the brackets made that are mounting the alternator and the power steering pump.  None of the factory or aftermarket brackets would work and so I made mine.  I am planning to have the engine back in the truck late this next week.  The next big challenge will be mounting and plumbing the radiator.

I am not complaining, just rambling:

Use a long handled brush... hold it down on the sink counter with useless arm & hand and scrub the good hand around the brush.  BTDT

Ibuprofen: I take 4 at a time, 2 - 3 times a day.  Plus the script I am on for my low back stenosis & joint pain.

Retire? I've worked 1.5 to 2 jobs most of my life. When I was self employed:  I ran harder & longer days.  I still am gone 11 to 12 hours a day for work with commute time and other "stuff" I take care of on my way to or from work.

And; as I type this , my right hearing aid is beeping at me. Tells me the battery is worn out. Kinda like the guy wearing the hearing aids.  LOL

Tony, the audiologist couldn't believe how loud I wanted the sound to be when the batteries were running low. I couldn't hear it otherwise. The new ones sound like a diesel horn, much easier to hear.

Thats good thinking with the stationary brush, Tony. Fortunately it is slowly improving (shoulder) but a good sized patch of red covers half the shoulder today and the knot is still tied. The deepest buried one. Only work I have done today was hunting up the good heat pad. Plastic bag of clay in cloth pouch. It can put heat in ya, but the couple corn bags are pretty much a heavy lukewarm joke. Best I can probably do is get it down to "a little tender" by Monday. Mobility has improved but that ain't sayin much.

We have used the cloth bags with Indian corn in them for years for heat pads.. Micro wave them for about 2 minutes.  A good friend sews them up.

Heat wise on the sore location at work: when my right arm was injured in the January 2013 motorcycle crash.  I used a bunch of the stick on heat pads under a flannel shirt. It does get a bit cool around Phoenix at early part of the year.  The heat pads are air activated when removed from the plastic bag.  Although the pads are sticky...  usually some additional tape was used to keep them in place as I moved about.

My arm literally looked like the Mummy guy from the olde movies

Did you walk and groan like the mummy? I would write out the sound but can't spell it. :?  The one on Scoody Doo just kept repeating "Coin!" in a spooky then increasingly threatening manner.

When my arm was busted I saw the cold sleeve type thingys that are out there. I gotta get used to this aging thing before becoming graceful at it.

Hope you are taking four with a snack. Hole in gut won't help you none. I don't take pills at all normally except mutivitamins and apparently muscle incidents are rare because I almost always need cold. Where something has hit me or vise versa.

Left arm isn't actually doing too well either. Have two left foot problems, etc. Nobody wants the full list. This right shoulder thing must be that next level of tendonitis the therapist warned about. With discoloration. I had not encountered this type of pain but couple weeks ago, the left one went still a couple days. Sleep seems to make no improvement on this problem. My bro gave me some localiy made muscle balm in a glide-on stick and it is smelly and greasy but it does something. Heat helps it do it's thing. But on any given day, it would be unusual for my hands to be still five minutes.

Gonna stick a general rodding type sketch on my thread wall now. Had some generic thoughts. :)

I took apart this XJ6 front suspension. I had to cut a hole in the bottom of the suspension to get heat into the lower pivot tubes so I could get the pivot shafts out.  That and a couple broken bolts were the only problems.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I went drag racing with the old truck.  I went out in the first round of eliminations.  It was a good run but I went to fast for my dial in.''

But Hooley was the gasser eliminator and was crown "King of the Gassers".  Look closely and you can see the crown on his head.

Another great day at the drag strip.

Swap meet today (sunday) went well...  a few annoying parts flippers offering me little or nothing on parts as we were unloading the truck.  LOL   ... I do not swap much any more, but I still know these flipper guys.

Any who:  up at 3:30am.. leave the house at 4am.. Arrive at the swap by 5am... packed up and left by 11:10am

Couple of the guys must have been watching me..  as we loaded , they dropped by to offer one more low price so I dont have to take the parts home.. The stuff was already in the bed of the truck.  LOL

Not today, but this is the first time I have able to get on here... my daughters delivery date for our first grand daughter was Oct. 30, but Thursday, the 17th my son in law messaged me at 6:45 a.m. to tell me they had made an emergency run to the hospital at 2:30 that morning. She had Avery at about 10:30 a.m. My wife and I jumped into the car asap and made the 800 mile trip in a shade under 12 hrs! Mom and baby doing fine, gramma and papa joe as well! 😄
