There was a U-ship person here to pickup the bike I sold on ebay over the weekend this afternoon. He had a trailer with too much stuff in it. I hope the bike gets to the new owner in good shape. The pic is of the light switch I removed from the 49 cab. It took a blind old guy a little bit to figure out how it came apart.

I didn't know you were cleaning out your garage by getting rid of some of your bikes. I keep looking for someone that thinks they need to get rid of an old "Thumper". I keep playing with the idea that I meed one to put a sidecar (training wheel) on. I started with a B33 BSA so I'd like a big single with a kicker and a simple (3 speed) transmission. I'd turn the frame into a rigid back end and I'd just put a wheel and a box on the side to carry "what ever" in. Of course I only talk this way after the wife's gone to bed. If I didn't kill myself this time she would. GPster

Shelby's husband brought over a fuel rail for his Turbo Honda. He had installed a brass elbow to move the Fuel pressure gauge away from the strut brace. The brass elbow would not take the vibration and broke off flush with the fuel rail. Then he tried taking it out the broken fitting with an easy out, and of course broke that off flush too. First we tried welding a "handle" to the broken easy out, unsuccessfully, several times. It was just stuck so hard I could not move it. By that time the heat had annealed the easy out enough that I was to drill a hole down through the easy out with a carbide bit, but the thing was still too hard to get a bite with one of my screw extractors. I dug around in my machinist box and found a 1/4" carbide end mill. I clamped the rail in the mill, set up, and bored the easy out, and some of the brass fitting out. The fitting would still not come out, so I reamed the fitting to tap size, and was able to retap the fuel rail back to 1/8" pipe. After I was done he told me the rail cost $125, and he wanted to show me he could fix it himself.

found some advance weight bushings to replace worn originals. (think similar to the IH green plastic versions)

http://i.imgur.com/llVxzhH.jpg  i could not believe that i found something that only the ID was different.. and that was perfect as i select fit them to the worn 7mm pins..  and filed the outside to glide smoothly in the slot after i filed that and reset the gap with a big pair of channelock pliers .  thanks to Luky hardware in burbank for that bushing find.

now doing the heater hoses from the back of the car thru the rocker panel and up to the front heater core and hoping i don't have to drill out an amazing uncounted number of rivets that hold the front inner fender liners in.

the heater hoses come down from the 1 o clock position and start heading forward at about the 3 o clock position thru the rocker panel.

I'll be on the road in a while to Scott City Ks. for a show. It's around a hundred cars but I'm hoping some of my humorous friends arrive. If they do, it will be a great day.

My brother and I took our trucks to the HAMB Drags.  He left home Friday with just 25 miles on his new Cadillac engine his truck.  It performed great and sounds really powerful.  We made a pass together but he ran through in drive.  I had an unfair advantage.  After he drives it some, we will have a better race.

Got stung yesterday above my left eye on my forehead by a wasp. The nest and all concerned died shortly afterwards. My wife put some stuff on the sting, then ice pack, then antihistamine pill and aspiring. Woke up this am with a swollen eyelid. War is declared on all stinging/biting insects in my yard.

My best pass was in the 13's (higher 13's).  I have been running my truck on the strip at least 15 years.  I have driven there and back all but one time, when I hauled it there on a trailer.  The only thing that has failed in all those years is a cam lobe went flat because I did not know that the oil company took the zinc out of the oil I was using.  My best pass ever was a 13.1 many years ago.  According to the math my low compression engine with stock heads makes about 250 HP.

My brother was a little slower this time, but his will definitely improve.  

I was a great day at the drag strip.

and now : you understand my fight with scorpions.  Killed some yellow jackets & the  nests a few weeks back too.

My wife likes lantana plants, too, and has a few around the yard, but they don't bother me out there. Yesterday, I was going to sit o the front porch while talking on the phone, when that one got me.

Here is the 34 Ford two piece fiberglass fan shroud that I made last week.  You should be able to see that the top and bottom interlock when it is installed on the radiator.  This feature allows it to be installed or removed without removing the fan or the radiator.
