The last time I saw that rear window section was on the salt. I like the way it looks in it's new home.

Although I haven't figured out how wide the front end will be yet because I haven't got all the parts to finish the front suspension, or the front tires, I've been leaning towards a '46/48 Ford passenger grille assembly or parts of.

I have a line on an assembly but it may not be available until spring. As things are now I intend to put this car away around Thanksgiving and spend the winter finishing up the doors, rockers etc. on the convertible. I miss that car so it's time to get 'er done.. It's a * having so many projects, but I guess I'd rather have it that way.

Moving right along here folks. Cut the center out of the firewall and a nicely crafted (prior owner) tranny tunnel to mockup the engine and trans. It'll fit but there won't be a lot of extra room. Good thing I found a pair of fender well headers at K-zoo. Needs to move forward about 2" so that the pass. header clears the frame rail.

A little more progress. Filled in the firewall hole and built most of the new trans tunnel. That indention in the center of the firewall is the hood latch and the remnants of the battery box...I made that area into a small tray with a 3/4" lip at the front - nice place to lay a wrench or two.

From the picks the size appears to be comparable to an anglia right?

Ah...I'm about a week behind. Still thinking 46/48 Ford grille parts, but that's next year business. It's a bit bigger than an Anglia...I had one of them once, they are really small. Shoulder to shoulder car.

just curious... are you going to mount a pair of the late 70's dodge van power brake booster angle adaptors together for the brake master??? i know someone sells them also.... or even the 69-74 econoline versions.. since it looks like you are running a manual trans... changing the pivot bolt on the inner bracket that you have converted to a brake pedal pivot... so you can hang a clutch pedal on it... perhaps... installing pillow blocks on the inside of the box... but having the belcrank tube OD passing through them..

just a thought... i can see it in my head... just don't know if there is room under the dash board for it...

i wonder... and it is a stretch .... if one under the dash.. pulling a rod that goes below the floor to pull another under the floor to activate the master..

again.. just a thought... round file it.. throw it on the wall... see if it sticks.. stick it in the book . brown spots on the wall..

if you are going to stick it under the floor.. or under the dash.. has anybody thought of using one of the later model masters with the built in level gauge.? that can turn on a low brake fluid warning light you wire to the dash?

? some are floats from the cap.. some are built into the plastic tank... again.. just a thought... but thats a good one..

i was even thinking of pulling a trick on a friend... and stick a clear Ptouch strip on his cluster .. 'Check Engine" he bought an older car just to get rid of that flashing light..

Wayne, thanks for your observations - I always appreciate them.

A few months ago I bought a used, but still new, Kugel right angle mount brake pedal assy that is designed to mount inside the car against the firewall. It uses a Corvette type dual master cylinder. I used their clutch and brake unit on my roadster pickup.

In this case the assembly is the same less the clutch pedal and the mounting bracket portion for the clutch master. I have made a clutch pedal out of a CE through the floor pedal I had in inventory and have it in the assembly.

I'm waiting arrival of a small master and I will finish its mounting bracket then. Right now I'm making an adapter bracket to mount inside the sloping firewall which will accept the entire assy and square it up to the world. Pictures are in process.

I have looked at the Dodge van parts but find them to be rather large and clumsy for what I wanted to do. I like the behind the dash deal in this case as the front subrail extensions don't have to be modified.
