37 chev, 29 Chev PU

Ok, guys I thought I'd post this here instead of Aus Contruction as I wanted to get opinions from rest of the board.
Alright I picked this up last week, though it wasnt exactly what I was looking for but its extremely close so I'll run with it. any how I like look of it.
Its a 1929 chev pickup but the difference is it runs oversized roadster doors, I have only ever seen 1 other like it and that was a 26 Chev (photo attached) and have a millon pics on it hows that
for luck. :>
Anyhow as there is not many around, so I am not going to change that much from its original appearance.
But as it has a fair bit of wood in it, I'd like to keep the wood on the dash or to the point replace it with new stuff (proberly jarrah (a dark wood), or a furniture grade pine that I have lying around from my book shelf days :> )
So I need to steel it out, now the floor (2in thick slab of wood) and back of the cabin I dont see a problem with it. The doors, roof and front section I'd like to steel out but I want to keep the wood look as well.
What I was thinking was putting steel pieces in and say laying a 5mm wood layer over some of the exposed steel sections to maintain the look I am after.

Also what about the windscreen replace it with a sealed one or keep it?
As I have to work wipers, demister vents for this a sealed one might be easier here.

Any other suggestions?

my 4yr just had is last week, and yes he wanted a hot rod one too, but we couldnt work out how or find one. So it was a spiderman cake. I'll keep a pic of this for next yr.

they must of been running on the Model A chassis I picked up last weekend, its about that size.

I have seen many a ford one, for just about every year and have some, but I have never seen a chevy one.

I had just recently bought the parts guide for ford and chev hoping for something like it but nothing.

Even on the old manuals website there is nothing.

does anyone no it exists?

I can provide bracket info where the firewall is supposed to be, length wide at various areas thats not a problem.
Look I'll do an image and put as much detail on it as I can.
then he can take it from there.

I am still hunting around AUS to find some doors, but one old timer (been in the parts game a along time) said "just find any make of door around that period if you want to copy you should have no problems, they are all the same". I dont know how true that is but I may do some digging around as there is some options on chasing up a STUTZ or a Studebaker of the same era rather cheaply.
He mentioned also that they dont have to be chemically cleaned they just need be clean enough so no mud or creapy crawls on them.

Ok, I'll do the 37 should be sufficent. If not then let me know asap as I am going to castlemaine on Sunday and my 39 chassis is on a farm not far from there.  Is there anything particular he is after?

I have never seen one.
But I do have a break down schematic of one, in my chev parts book.
I'll see if I can get it up here in the next day.
What does he want to know?
I have a 37chev but I have a 38/39 chassis in storage there all the same except for a couple of different hangers.

Thanx heaps for the pics, so my question is whats the going prices for parts nowa days?
I spoke to someone the other day about shipping to AUS and it has now gotten dear to ship internally around the US than shipping to AUS.
The cheap way out of it was getting the parts to a shipping port?
Its all to do with the price of oil!
