Here in the north end of Toronto there is an Emerson Electric factory that builds power tools for several different retailers in North America including Sears, however I don't know which tools they are. I suspect all of Sears hand tools come from the far east. As long as it has a lifetime warranty and I can get it from a big box store, I don't much care where it was made. It would if I made my living with them though.

Rodder's Roundtable / AOD questions
October 14, 2004, 12:06:45 PM
If you are going for a non electronic AOD, the '92/'93 F150 version is the one to go with. It has 2" bands and all the others are 1.5".

Rodder's Roundtable / T-Bird Independent rear end?
April 05, 2004, 04:15:31 PM
I am considering putting independent suspension under my '49 Ford coupe. Can anybody that has used these things recommend if there is a specific year/s of T-Bird that would be best to use? I want about 3.5/3.7 ratio and traction lock (or whatever they call posi in a T-Bird) to use behind an AOD. I don't care whether or not is has disc brakes as I will use whatever it comes with. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

At least you'll be able to find a cop quickly if you need one.

Rodder's Roundtable / Hard to believe

Been married only once for 32 years. Years ago we decided that if it didn't work, the one who leaves gets the two kids and the one who stays gets the dog. Just to keep her on her toes, I always introduce her as my "first wife". Seems to work too. I can't imagine life without her.

Rodder's Roundtable / Mind Boggling 2
February 25, 2004, 09:26:29 AM
I'am 58 and live in a suburb of Toronto. Married for 33 years to my first wife and have two grown kids. The other love of my life is my 49 Ford Business Coupe which just came back from it's first visit to the body shop for new sheetmetal. Once the paint is on it will be getting a 351W with AOD and an Explorer rear end. Plan to retire in June 2005 so I can devote the rest of my life to the old girl (the one with wheels).
