I last talked to him Tuesday night, he was in good spirits, and we were making plans for the future. His last words to me were"Frank, I'm blessed". And I think he truely was. He was a rare fellow, spent 28 years as a police officer, but never used that to his advantage. I was with him one time when he was stopped for speeding, and he never even mentioned it to the trooper that pulled us over. I asked him why, and he said he was too embarrassed to let him know. A true one of a kind.

No matter how bad things were going for him, he always asked how I was doing. And he really cared for those of us around him.

Sorry to hear that Frank, Treasure the Memories.

Have you ever wondered how your mother knew enough about people like me to warn you about us?

My condolances Frank. It's really hard to lose a great friend, I lost probably the best friend I ever had 4 years ago.  We have one of the last pics of him sitting on the lamp table next to my chair as a rememberance.
Some days it\'s not worth chewing through the restraints.

Sorry to hear that Frank. There seems to be an epidemic of that recently. I have been to the funeral home too many times in the last year, and will be again this Saturday. Maybe it's the age we have become; The older we get the more friends and family we are bound to lose. But it's never a welcome thing. My condolenses.

Very sad news.  That kind of friendship only happens once in a great while.  Like someone said, remember the good times.

Quote from: "enjenjo"As some of you may know, I have been building a 41 Chevy for a close friend. This guy has been a close buddy for over 20 years, and is probably my number one car buddy. He had some health problems in the last few years, he was diabetic, which caused problems with his eyesight, and 4 years ago his kidneys failed, so he has been on diaylisis. We talked on the phone often, and I stopped to vist with him, but he was kind of tied to that machine, so we couldn't travel together much like he dreamed. Last spring he gave me the GMC truck that he bought from me in 1993, because he couldn't use it any more, and it had been setting for some time. His first wife died from a type of Lupus, she got sick and was gone in less that two weeks. Fortunately he found another lady who loved him very much.

His wife called this morning, he passed away from cardiac arrest last night. There wasn't any drama, which I am glad for, he had been through too much in the last few years.

I miss you Price.

Sorry to hear that, Frank.
At times the souls depart, but the spirit and the memories are everlasting.
Cherish them often.
