*, I hate to hear this crap. I hope it's just a false alarm but if not I wish you a minor inconvenience and a speed recovery. Hang in there Rudy and do what the specialist suggests........

Rudy, I had a similar situation happen to me last May.  For once I listened to my bride and had a slight tightness in my chest checked out in the emergency room.  I ended up getting one of the new coated stents put in the rear artery of my heart the next day.  The first time I was able to walk after surgery it felt like I had previously been dragging a sand bag behind me and someone cut it loose.  It makes a big difference when the blood is flowing properly.

I had to change some old habits (quit smoking) and start some new habits (exercise & low fat, low cholesterol diet).  I had my 6 month check up last Wednesday and I no longer need to take a blood thinner, just a baby aspirin and continue to walk 3-5 miles a day.  On the plus side, I'm 21 pounds lighter and have more energy than I've had in a long time.

I hope your situation is like mine.  Many people do not get a second chance like I did.  My thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.

You guys are all so sweet.  Rudy says a HUGE thanks for all the kind sediments.  He was just released from the hospital.  He's on his way home.  Most of the tests have come back, all negative for any problems.  Now it's even more perplexing as to what the actual problem is.   He is suppose to see his regular doctor now.

The one thing he missed the most was not having internet access.  I'm sure as soon as he's home and settled in, he'll be online and can fill everyone in on more details.

I just wanna take a minute to thank everyone for their concern.  While Rudy was in the hospital I read him all the replies here, the PM's and the emails.  I know they really made him feel better.  Thank you so much.

Well, I'm home now and sure feel better than I did when I went to the Hospital Thursday morning.

Not really sure what the problem was but they seemed to have ruled out any arterial blockage. That seems like a good thing. My blood pressure was off the chart though and I was experiencing other symptoms of something seriously wrong so figured this isn't going away and I better get some help. I'll be seeing the Doctor first thing Monday and hopefully we can get a handle on whatever wrong.

First I want to Say THANK YOU to Denise for being there for me. She is a very special person in my life and I can't say enough about how good she can make me feel, and the happiness I experience in her company.
Thanks sweetie

And now to each and every one of you that I have met here and in person. Thank you all so much for caring enough to put in words how you feel.

This is overwhelming to read. Denise had read a lot of to me over the Phone last night and earlier today, but to see for myself how much all of you care means more to me than I can say.

It's one thing to just gab away on some message board with a bunch of strangers and talk about common interest. But a lot of time and effort has gone into actually meeting each other and the friendships have turned real.

The people I have met here on the RRT starting with Frank back before I even knew about this place are some of the best car folks I've had the pleasure to hang with. It seems every time we get together the bonds get tighter and tighter. I have known many people in the hobby in the last 25 years since I first started going to events and you people are the best.

I think lot of sincerity has to do with the fact that we CAN keep in touch on a regular basis and talk cars and life in general. I'm sure it keeps us closer and more in tune with each other.

SO I will say one more time too all of you that wished me well Thank you :D

Quote from: "HotRodLadyCrusr" I just got back from the hospital.  Race rushed Rudy there early this afternnon.  Looks like he might have had a heart attack.  The doctors aren't sure yet, they're still running tests.  Typical guy, he had all the signs before but kept ignoring them.  As soon as he gets better I'm going to kick his *, in the mean time if all his friends here would keep him in their thoughts and prayers, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Dad and I will light some incence for him.  I wish him and all those involved all the best possible fortune.
