In my world, the weekend after Thanksgiving starts the Holiday season's partys and such.  I would prefer Jan as there is really nothing going on and it would be nice to see everyone and spend the day together.  But I will go along with the majority and try to attend whatever day/days are picked.

So I'll try this again, how about jan 15, the next saturday would be the snow day if the weather is bad.
