I am pretty sure that the gold Chevy station wagon is the one that my brother owned a few years ago.  I visited with the present owner recently and it is a dead ringer for the way brothers car looks today.  It is the one that has the story of the gold mine with it.  (he found a bank bag with the contents of a safety deposit box that include gold coins and jewelry in it.)

Checked out a service disconnect box. 120v to it. The hvy deteriorated external wires there? My contactless powerchecker says those wires are hot in the "on" position

I built a tool to help me bend radius in sheet metal.  I will be making a hood sometime this winter.

I like the tripod stand. Looks good and not as many places to knock your shins.

Nothing to report. Job just keeps ratcheting up the self-loathing factors. Not only will I never get to customize anything, I'll have to do all sanding of all items on all jobs including that which others have customized halfheartedly. To me, that is teeth kick on top of face spit. Bike rally smack dab in the center of my commute bottleneck this week so I made me a temporary sticker. :)

Sticker flew off on the way home. Rally must be a dud, not one bike got behind me. I was not shot at either.

Been sanding other peoples's leavings for weeks, at work. While guy in next stall is never expected to sand and enjoys free reign over three heavily metalwork-customized price is no object projects. It is getting to me again. If his metal work were finished like mine... might not be so bad but it ain't. Its like throwing dirty clothes on the floor expecting Mommy to clean his room. I cannot subscribe to the panel edges must be sharp enough to cut you mentality, it makes any vehicle an obvious bondo bucket. But thats what non-sanding man prefers. Customer preferences are simply disregarded and overridden.

The 51 F1 job still suffers with owner whims flipping around like a fish on a hot sidewalk, as it has from day one. Has custom wheels with redlines on it now and just this week... glory be... fenders got shot and buffed. I thought something was progressing on the A but ain't seen a hood on it since primer.

69 Mustang is going together real slow, 73 Mustang sits untouched as does the 71 GMC. But it's axles are getting attention and frame powder coat and engine rebuild sublets are done.

The F1 getting fenders painted is the oh-so gloriously positive nugget in this post, in case you missed that. Cheap saves on stock basket case trucks is my life now. And I'm capped at around 50 MPH now. Yippie!  :)

There was a time when making a hood sounded mighty intriguing to watch. Sounds like fun. As does going to a drag strip. I have seat belt court next week. Just call me Eeyore.

More like Piglet now.  :)

The no seatbelt ticket got tossed by the city attorney today. My GTP still works, and I am still sanding other peoples' show slop.

Matt, that sounds like a decent day. :)

T'was. Fair chunk of stress relief there and the sanding pace just has to be what I can handle. That interior of yours is lookin slick. :)
