Post dental root canal work from this Wednesday  morning.  Feel good.  Jaw is tender. This problem was in my upper jaw.  I watched a buddy go thru infection problems 30 years ago in his upper jaw for similar problem.  So I did not goof around with this one. I sat in that chair for about 1 hour 45 minutes this morning. The dentist  have a TV on the ceiling area. I had it on Perry Mason. The look from the young hygienist was funny when she noticed the black and white show

Foam tires?  The small parking lot sweepers with 3 wheel.  It was common around here to fill the rear steer tire with foam.  Usually the front tires were the solid forklift type tires and wheels.

I bought a solid type wheel for my wheel barrow from Harbor Freight 10 yrs ago... Still works well.  Wheel barrow will in the yard sale next week.

Second day of experiment with the expandable foam in a utility cart tire.  A little trimming off of the excess and now we will try it out.  It seems to be equally inflated.  There were a couple of tricks

I will try to post a photo later.  Somedays it will not let me post a photo.  I have resized this one for the last half hour and I am not going to mess with it any more.  It is to the point that I am calling the computer program names.

I installed the new solid tires on the wife's yard carts. Then on to yard work. I'm so boring even the neighbors quit watching. :)

I been working on the brake system for the Coupe and finally realized I bought the wrong brake pedal assembly to use. I am using frame mounted hardware and naturally bought a pedal that goes forward almost 11 inches before it turns upward. I figured that would work but what the problem is I didn't think of the 11 inches of space that pedal is going to need to operate. With the pedal assembly clamped to the frame it has to set back so far on the frame that there is no room for a master cylinder as the frame cross members are in the way.  I did some research and found another pedal assembly that is almost vertical and it will allow me to move the pedal assembly forward and have room to mount the master cylinder. I just hate spending the extra money for another pedal assembly but it looks like it's going to be the only way.. :(   :x

Short road trip in the 51 for lunch and back to yard work. I'm about ready to build a hot rod. :)

I spent the day with the shovel, rake and pulling weeds. The yard is better even though it is temporary in this part of the world. :) My back is a little sore. :)

I'll second that emotion. :)  Back yard taming with trusty push mower and snips. Managed to yank the gas cap off twice. Once on the yard art car. Boy it is sinking.

Planning to take a shot at drawing model A / B wire wheels this evening. Will have to take a shot at the modded banger eventually but references are so vague, there has to be a study period on both those things. The wheels give me a phobia though, like that has to be an artist's worst nightmare. Wire wheels. Have not been able to think up a light angle that will get me out of it.

But I just had the loud car out and boy thats some good V8 I tell ya.  8)

A test of my ability to post a photo along with the shot of the wheel I filled with foam a couple of days ago.

Can you feel voids or did the foam completely fill and not distort the tire?

Seems to be just as if it had air in it.  Time will tell how this experiment goes.

I just used my little tractor to flip my neighbors new, large, zero turn mower back right side up.  He rode it over a shear drop off beside his house this morning and turned it over with him underneath and it running.  He is okay but him and mower are a little rough around the edges now.

Spending the day without water. Wife woke me up this am and said the wash machine quit filling with water, and there was not water in the faucets. Did some checking on voltages at the pressure switch. Hmmm, good there.  Called the guy who put in the new well pump 5 years ago, TO THE DAY, and he came out and checked things. Said the pump motor has an open winding. Will come back tomorrow with his son and pull the pump again. Oh, yay.  The 5 year old pump had a 3 year warranty.  Hope the next one lasts longer.

Wire wheels can be challenging, but rewarding too. I have done quite a few, don't try for perfection, the human eye/mind is great at filling in the blanks. Where the spokes pass over a dark background they are light and vise versa.

Those are some fine representations. I had to find pictures of the different types then just wing it but was happy with my first attempt. You are right, a kind of vague impression is plenty. :)

This is a 16" 1935 wheel with a chevy hubcap, I think.

Phil: One of the reasons our retirement property has city water service is what you are dealing with ...   Problems with a well or shared well water.

Had a few guys over here sunday. Sold my car hoist and a few more machines to them.  Couple work benches sold too.  House is in escrow , final move out date if the deal goes thru is July 1 , 2021.  We will be homeless. Altho I am searching for a toy hauler.  Need money first.

I have a couple small deals working on my old cars.  If I am paid..  more stuff gone.  Weird how I am going down to little car stuff from so much.  Oh well.  new chapter in life is what ppl keep telling me.  I cant post what I think about that , the forum would ******  out the words

Shelby and her husband's hot rods. They were out yesterday working on both of them. It's the first time Shelby's Honda has been roadworthy in nearly two years. It now has a B18 type R engine and transmission.
