I'm happy that you were able to get the vaccine, John, but don't get a false sense of immunity.

Did they explain to you that you can still get the virus even if vaccinated?   ....It supposedly lessens your chances of getting the virus, and hopefully lessens the severity if you do get the virus.

Relatives who received the vaccine were also told there is no data on how long the vaccine is effective, and that  more vaccinations may be needed in the future.

Good news for you folks John...  Arizona is having problems with vaccine sign up web sites..  they crash often from high demand.

We have not even tried to sign up yet. My wife is not 65 yet. I qualify on 2 fronts it seems.  age and job description.

AZ opened up another state operated location.  THen they tell us there is not enough doses for more than 500 people a day..  Then they say 21,000 new appointment times open up on Feb 3rd..  (The day the Music died in 1959)

Wow Crosley,

I think we have the same rollout problems in our local governments. We are seeing the same things. My pet peeve is all of these supposed lists that are out there. You call the county for info, they send you to the website where you answer a bunch of questions and the website says congrats you are eligible and we will put you on the list. What they don't say is how do you know your on the list and where is this list! I tried to get answers and the phone operators say they have no access to this secret list! You don't know if your on the list or not and no clue where you are in the list. Then you hear of shots at your local Safeway store and a few clinics. You ask about a list and they say it is first come first served but there out of vaccine and don't know when shots resume but it will be first come first served.

I am so sick of misinformation and no information... I would like to fire the whole bunch!! 8)

We were on a bunch of list and we found a website that would send us a notification when appointments were being taken.  Thats how we got the shot. We had the computer set to the site and also one of our phones so that the minuet that the registrations for appointments opened, we were ready.  It filled all appointments in minuets.  It was like getting a room at Wendover for Speedweek.

I have a list of things I want to do a week after my booster shot.  First thing is to get my haircut(it has been nearly a year since my last one). I would like to have someone come visit me at the shop.  There has been months of time spent there by myself.  I do not plan to go to restaurants, movie theaters, or any place that there are crowds but there are some friends I would like to see.  Small things are a really big deal for me.  My wife and I have been very diligent. We tried our best to follow the guidelines.  I did not want to get sick but most of all I did not want to be responsible for getting someone else sick.

The news I heard about todays 20k more appointments to open up...  were all filled in 39 minutes.

Comments are:  Arizona is  waiting for more virus vaccine before more appoints are opened up.  yippie. #sarcasm

We are on our third week of no virus vaccine shipments or else 20% of shipments in Canada . Supply from drug companies all but dried up. We seem to have a problem securing the vaccine in Canada .

I'm going to get the 2nd of my vaccine shots in the morning. In a few days I should be good to go.
I had to go out of state to get them. IL is as jacked up severely.

Our system here is totally screwed, to be polite. Appointments are made through the county health dept. they would make whatever spots the had open available on Fridays. As soon as the site opened, whenever they felt like it at a random time on Friday's, the spots were "gone" before anyone could even enter their info, less than 90 seconds and it said all appointments were full. BS. Then people were just going there and getting it, no appointment, or calling the day before and getting an appointment on Friday. They stopped all activity last week to reset a new "system", starting tomorrow you sign up online and they set you an appointment some time in the future. 🙄 I signed up at a local hospital about three weeks ago and have heard nothing from them. It seems no one had any plan in place for something like this.

I went to the county health dept. They asked how old I was. Then she wrote my name and number in a notebook and said we'll call you when we get vaccine. I'm expecting next month, maybe.

Our county Health Dept. reset their program for the vaccine and my wife I were able to get our first dose today. We had to drive three cities away to get it but that's not too bad. We live less than a half mile from where they were giving the shots up till a couple weeks ago, but just happy to get it done.

Any side affects at all?

Dad had his vaccination this morning. I haven't heard if he's having any side effects, but I'll keep in touch with him.

I find it quite encouraging to be hearing of people who've been able to get their vaccinations. Things are accelerating. Not fast enough, but it's progress.

It's been eight hours and I feel no side effects at all, my arm seemed a little off for a while after the injection, then I realized it was just the band aid pulling on my skiin.  I took it off and haven't thought about it since.

Arizona has opened another vaccine location in southern AZ.. We hear about pharmacies receiving the vaccine doses too.

Yet the head AZ health dept person says Arizona request 300k doses a week and only receive 170k doses.

Also the county operated locations will change their rules from 75+ for vaccine to 65+ age. That sounds good too , but again the vaccine doses available are low at this point.

My injection site from the normal flue shot is normally sore for a couple days. I had the exact same symptom from both of my Covid shots.

The day following each of the shots I had some added muscle aches, which always leads to stress headache for me.

My daughter got her shots with me. She had no symptoms after the 1st shot but did have near flu like, or hangover type symptoms after the 2nd shot.

I would definitely do it over again for the peace of mind.
