I know of 2 people in my town that have had it twice. They both worked in the same office which happens to be a credit union. Their exposure has been high and continuous. It may have been 6 months in between infections. Neither had it bad enough to require hospitalization. They both are in or around 60 years old. One is an exerciser. They both are very slender. Their office requires masks on everyone entering. I have no idea what the rest of their world is like to comment on exposure risks.

We decided to drive the 54 Chevy in the Christmas parade of the little town where our daughter has a shop.  We had signs on the car and our daughter, her business partner, and the son in law would walk along by the car and throw candy to the kids along the route. We were trying to do a little promotion for her small business in a very tough year.  I had it planned where the grandkids could ride with us, the car would be closed and we would all have mask.  Safe.  Then I had to get out before the parade started to get something out of the trunk for our daughter, and I left the drivers door open.  Santa walked by and stuck his unmasked head in the car to talk to the grandkids.  So goes the best made plans for the safety of all. At least we all had on mask.

Boss is feeling better, so it looks like I get to enjoy the rest of the week off work as planned. He feels as I expected, that he probably had it for at least a week before it took him down bad.

It's sure good to see vaccinations starting, but the magnitude of the task is enormous. It's enormous with just the USA, but it really needs to be a huge part of all the 7.5B people on Earth. Otherwise it'll just mutate into something which evades the vaccine and we'll be right back here again.

as of this Thursday no guests to anyone 's home . These restrictions will be in place until Jan 15 .That means no Christmas for our family at home . We could go to a bar or restaurant and have Christmas a day early as then we are allowed 4 people to a table . Stores stay open but no guests to your home. I guess we could all meet in aisle 9 at the Wal mart because that is legal. We had an election here in October , not many restrictions until after then and then mostly in areas of lesser support of the governing body . Populations of 5000 or less were not required to mask. Schools under 500 were not required to go to alternate programming .The current govt is mainly supported by the rural voters. A broader scope of the restrictions earlier on could likely have avoided this stage . Not happy with the powers that be as it seems the politics have gotten in the way of control of a virus . Apparently Covid is dangerous except in bars restaurants and retail stores.Sorry guys , rant over

Chimp, that is weird. The town I live near (2.5 miles) has ~1900 people, and there have been a couple deaths. We always wear a mask when we go out, and I guess we've been lucky so far.

When I returned to work a few months back, there are a few anti mask people , a couple guys that believe the virus is mostly fake.  One guy told me he did not believe the virus was real and certainly not as bad like the media portrays it.

We have a few Mexican nationals at work.. couple of them went to Mexico for Thanksgiving. one fellow has not returned to work yet.  He is in a Mexican hospital because of the covid virus.  He was on a ventilator for several days but is recovering now.

Since one of guys that explained to me how fake and over blown the virus is works next to the guy in the hospital in Mexico.  He has changed his story slightly  and agrees the Mexican caught the covid somewhere.  Well duh!

I wasn't allowed to say anything before but it's now okay for me to share that I volunteered for one of the Covid-19 vaccine trials. This particular vaccine was the one that was developed in Russia.

Latest news I see in AZ is our positive test rate has hit 23% ..  It was 21% earlier this week.

Many PSA on the local TV stations from  Governor Doug and his top staff about staying safe  and warnings on family gatherings and close contact with people you are not around on a regular basis to spread the virus.

i was told a few days ago the co-worker in a hospital in Mexico is doing well.  I do not know what tests and protocols await him at the USA - Mexico border to re-enter the USA.

We got budget approval for a big, new project at work, which will probably kick off around the first week of February. My Director-level boss wants to have a celebratory dinner with my boss and I for getting this to the starting line, which really is a huge deal. Mrs B is really, really uncomfortable with that. I think I can put it in terms the boss will understand. We're on good terms.

A large news stir happened around the metro Phx area.  Several hospitals were turning away emergency vehicles from ER rooms referring them to other hospitals because of capacity.  Yet the walk in patients were being taken in?

I heard 2 numbers:  10 hospitals were turning patients away , also heard 6 hospitals were turning patients away.

I have a hospital about 1 mile away to the west of my house.  My wife said the helicopters were very busy in & out on Tuesday.

Hi... Arizona is #1 in per capita virus test numbers for now. Various folks are calling for full closure of restaurants inside eating. Pickup and delivery only. State wide mask mandate is not in place.  The closures and mask mandates have not helped Callifornia.

What I see is family gatherings have seemed to help increase the virus numbers.

My wife has 1 co-worker that decided the risk was worth the Thanksgiving gathering of the family.  One week later 4 people in the group came down with illness and 1 ended up in the hospital for several days. Now she admits maybe it was a mistake.  Geez, really?

Very confusing to me is how we all must be at least 6 feet apart with masks and gloves on... then people pile into an airplane like sardines and that is OK ?  The airline industry tells us the filtration systems on an airplane are really good.

We got our first shot of the vaccine this morning.  That means we are a month out from being fully functional again.  It has been very difficult to get the process started here.  Missouri is at the bottom of the list for getting the vaccine out to the public.

I hope the rest of you are ahead of me.
