The county where I live is a red square on the national corona virus map.  Not a good place to call home right now.  When I go out, which is minimal, rarely do you see anyone wearing a mask, or doing anything that CDC recommends to help contain the virus.  It is interesting.  We will see how it all plays out.  The president is to be just down the road from me about 100 miles soon.  Maybe he will bring some relief from Washington.

Arizona Gov has decided to allow local city governments to decide on mandatory mask while in public.    Several mayors and health officials felt masks in public at all times is needed.  The AZ gov is not requiring masks in public at this time.

The positive test numbers here jumped up quite a bit.  There was a large push for testing in recent weeks..  Yet some of these numbers reported have come from weeks to months ago has been reported.  I question the accuracy of the positive test result numbers.

I was at a sit down Mexican restaurant the other day. No body was wearing a mask besides the staff.  Some folks when they finished eating, were installing a mask.  Seems some what useless by that point to have a mask on to me.

yes I have worn masks.  I have R95 mask and other face coverings.  Some of the fitted masks look like half a bra to me.

We are one of the lucky states, under 550 cases and 18 deaths.  I think we are still the lowest in the country.  I have been doing pretty well under the rules, but several of us still go to the DQ on Wednesday nights.  Do the drive though and then go around the block and sit in the parking lot and talk at a distance.

Took my wife out for lunch yesterday. Half capacity at restaurant , masked servers.  We have had an outbreak at a Hutterite colony. There are also quite a few cases in the farther north of the province . Our total # of cases since the start is still under 700 total.

Arizona has many citys now putting in place face mask requirements  and $ fines in place for non compliance.  Good plan. Penalize  people that may have been out of work because of the virus.  There is virtually zero coverage on the news about the homeless folks numbers of positive virus tests.  Zero coverage on homeless folks with or without masks.  There may be some reports, I have not seen them.

Part 2 of my post:  I still have contact with a few people at Hughes Performance my former employer.  I heard today a worker has tested positive for the virus. The shop has been shut down. Tuesday there will be on-site  testing of All employees for the Chinese virus.  This worker is the same guy that was arrested in 2019 for "tagging" with spray paint on the inside of the I-10 freeway tunnel walls in down town Phoenix..  All caught on camera and shown on the local TV news shows.

My wife reported to me last week the local food  place named Panda Express had moved all interior tables and chairs away.  Take out orders only. This is a change in policy for them. They had limited inside dining.  There are new Plastic separation walls hang from the ceiling to separate employees and food from the customers.  Masks are required to enter.  My wife says you have to yell at the employees so they can understand what you are ordering.

Most of our fast food places have the drive-thru open and deliver through the window or at the curb. Culver's has a trailer sitting in the parking lot taking orders in addition to the drive up. They bring your food out to you. No going inside.

New cases in the county where I live remain low, the county health dept. is issuing update only weekly now instead of daily. Retail businesses are allowed to be open, and restaurants can have inside seating now, with restrictions, some are doing it some are not. The art gallery where I have my paintings reopened yesterday, I have a shift there today. My brother and I do handyman work for friends and friends of friends, we started back a week or so ago, doing outside work only. Starting next week we will do some inside stuff, we have a pulldown attic stairway install scheduled for Monday.

I wanted to mention: The Firestone Auto Store that I reported as closed.  Is open.

They must have remodeled the inside office space or something.   When we drove by it weeks ago, the seats and other interior office furniture was sitting outside and the bay doors were closed, parking lot empty.  They are working shorter hours now. They used to open early.

Also : my city Gilbert jumped on the "mask required in public" band wagon.  The emergency measure took effect on friday evening at 5pm (yesterday).

Will be interesting on how well this all works out.

I read that Arizona was added to the list of quarantine states in Kansas.  If you return from certain states on Kansas list.. Quarantine time. I have no interest in a trip to Kansas at this time.  Maybe a drive thru the state?

We had another high number of positive test results for a day..  I am not surprised as I have mentioned AZ went on a high rate of testing people for several weekends.

A buddy in Wisconsin told me: a friend of his had a Covid drive up test in mid May.  Positive results. He had No symptoms. No fever, no cough, nothing. After 20 days of quarantine , the County retested him. Positive again.  He asked about false positive results. They told him "no such thing".. The guy is now hiding from the county folks visits and phone calls.  No telling where this will go for him.

The dentist that we go to just reopened his office, but said masks are required.  I told him to save me a trip, I'll just do the Tele-denistry. Just tell me what to do over the phone.

I received some information from my medicare coverage explaining how they will be offering "at home" visits  for needed common check ups.

I was thinking it would be strange to have a digital prostrate exam in my living room with the TV on..

I read again this morning on AZ chinese virus death numbers.  53 of the 79 deaths reported are from "death certificate matching" ... these are people that died up to 3 weeks ago as I understand it.  More accurately : we had 26 new deaths from the virus over night, not 79?

So the increase of deaths from the virus in recent reports is not valid as "new deaths" . These folks did die.  Now their death is listed as related to covid 19  per the CDC current guidelines.  I even doubt the virus was the main cause of death in many cases.

This is one reason I think AZ listed as a "hot bed state" of the covid 19 chinese virus is false.  I do not believe the reporting is fair and correct
