Good luck with that Joe.

Cheryl came home monday, and there are more appointments every day this week. We had one this morning at the hospital she started out in. And I told them I didn't want to hear the word "admit"

I am now doing online teaching as part of my daily assignment . we are down to splitting each of my classes in half , teaching one half one day then the other half the next day . The ones at home are to do online study which is what I am now tasked with providing as part of my day. So teach all of my normal classes to half of my students each day , all day , then do the online component . The kids are quite disappointed that they can not go to school each day. They did not want to go back to online learning.

Joe, I hope your recovery goes well. Frank, I hope your wife has no complications. C.K. , I'm sympathetic to your situation and the kids. Not a day goes by that I'm not aware of how fortunate I've been. Best wishes to all.

I have a bit of a story to share. Both the son and d.i.l. were exposed to covid. We have been keeping the grandkids for 13 days. The girl is 4 and a live wire. It's been warm here in the afternoons the last couple of days. She goes with me to walk at the golf course / sanitation lake. It's 1.2 miles around which she does easily. Today when we were almost finished, the local vet pulled up beside us in his kart and told me that my friend John, who had moved to Texas, had his house burn down while he was on vacation. It got it all. His srt challenger that had a blower and other mods. His wife's scat pack and all their belongings. They will have to start from scratch. I have no idea if he had enough insurance to cover the loss or not. Heck of a way to end your vacation.

My wife was admitted to the hospital Tuesday evening.  She has a problem with degeneration of the muscles supposedly caused by a arthritis drug she had taken for years. This led to use of a walker and a poor quality of life. I noticed that she was having issues, like she couldn't speak very loudly, she was forgetting things and the TV remote was a big challenge. The doctors determined she was very dehydrated which led to a lot of the problems. She always had a bottle of water with her but was forgetting to drink it. They ruled out a stroke and did all the test CT,MRI, checked the arteries in her neck and found a valve problem in her heart. Now the neurologist and the cardiologist have to meet and determine a plan of action and if they can even do anything because of the muscle condition. God * golden years. :(

So sorry to hear this Don. Vickie and I hope everything get better. Let Kathy know were pulling for her.  :(
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

Sorry to hear that, Don. Years ago, a woman who was a character said the only thing golden about her golden years was her urine. :) I know that will be true for most of us if we live long enough. Best wishes, Don.

Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I\'ve traveled a long way and some of the

My wife had major back surgery last December (four fused discs in her lower back). She was also having problems in her neck and shoulders but the back doctor said ordinarily that would work there first but her lower back was so bad that the upper back would have to wait. With the virus closing gyms down any theropy has been hard so she has been living with what she thought was arthritis but finally went to our family doctor to see if she could get something for the pain. He sent her for some blood tests and with-in an hour they called and told her to go to the emergency room. The cardioligist said she was having mini heart attacks and the next morning she had two stints installed. And the Jeepster is in the driveway and I was hoping to drive it some more before bad weather. It's supposed and I can'i even drive it to the back yard. GPster

I'm sorry to hear about all the wear and tear and age related issues in our ranks, but it sounds like some mending is going on too. Hang in there guys.
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying. "Wow...that was fun!"

Me, too. I just never know what to say. It is tough to hear things my folks endure and I know its probably that way for your kids. We care, and carry a different burden. Helplessness. Being the resident whippersnapper here however I'll have you know I ripped a smoky burnout on all your behalves at work this morning. Pretty day. Sit in the sun every chance you get. :)

Sorry to read this Don...   we wish her the best outcome. Dehydration can sneak up on a person and  you are in worse trouble if you are already ill.   Gettin olde is not for sissies.

ya... the golden years.

As the other guys mention:  problems here too. Mine are mostly structural - joint problems.  Mostly my own fault.  I have beat my body to death for decades. No wonder my back , knee, elbows and hands offer up so much pain some days...  as I sit here with an Indian corn filled heating pad on my worse hand. LOL

My thoughts are with all of you.  It is difficult to put into words our feelings during these times of trouble.  It is overwhelming at times.  I live in an older neighborhood and it is changing daily as we deal with the problems of the aging population.

Let us all be tough and look ahead to better times.
