Thanks, the pic I posted looks washed out, the reflections on the car are too light, they actually are closer to the sky color.

Five hours later, I would still be setting up the easel.

I put up minimal Christmas decorations today. A steel sleigh that we bought at Menards a couple years ago, with t large Pink Panter sitting in it with a santa hat on. I strung lights all around it so it would show up at night. Wife hung wreaths and other yard stuff for the season.
I survived the Hyfrecator 2000.

Hub replacement experience had IDJ all over it but the GTP is back on the road.  :)

What I don't like about sealed bearings: One day you hear a faint scraping noise but car drives same. With bearing split in half.

Lost two tenths of an average MPG starting within the last couple weeks before so I knew something was imperfect. That might have been it.  :?

Oh yeah the ball joint don't gotta come loose. And OE axle nuts are 35MM some cars with washer under nut, replacements are 34 / deep socket and washer if ya got one. And my nut was found not tight, however the bearing was broken in half. More bygones, can't wonder why just throw away buy new..

If inclination strikes, a possibility exists that I may do carb stuff on the day left. Probably rather do artwork now. Today was six or seven hours and three store trips (imagine doing that buying from an overseas auction) and I had the part already. Got frustrated but not angry though. I better yep stick to sheetmetal as much as possible.

Wish I had me some paints, that picture ^^^ looks like more fun. :D

I have been playing again with some wind spinners.  I needed a pointer.  So I made this one out of 3/16" steel rod.  My shoe toe gives you and idea of the size of the hand.  I had to make some unusual wire formers in order to make this simple little project. Just something fun to do while I am cooped up here in isolation.  (Come on Vaccine)

I was afraid you were going to say that it was a sign showing the way to the proctologist's office.  :D

I replaced the battery in the 51 today. I was a little annoyed because I thought it was 4 years old. When I dug out the invoice, it turns out it's 6 years old. I'm not near as annoyed now. :) Because the battery is under the bed, it takes a while to change it. After I added the bed cover and the wood floor that holds the jack and spare tire in place, it takes better than an hour to change. I hope this one lasts 6 years also. :)

Funny stuff...  Tuesday somehow the subject of a conversation I had with a co-worker was about prostate gland and his 51st birthday was coming up. I mentioned a few common items about the prostate gland and aging  in men. He said he was unaware of those items and from the look on his face he was telling me the truth.

Packing up getting ready to head to the Tampa airport to head home to Illinois. Just spent 8 glorious, almost normal days on St. Pete Beach. Came down to surprise our brother-in-law on his 70th birthday on Thanksgiving day. He and my sister-in-law come down here every Thanksgiving. Up until yesterday temps were in the high 70's-low 80's and sunny. This morning it's 48 degrees. It will be about 35 when we land at O'Hare in Chicago. People will be critical of us traveling, but we stayed safe, distanced (most of the time). Bars and restaurants here are at 100% capacity. It was so great to hear (other people's) kids running an laughing and playing around the pools and on the beach.

Hopefully, he learned something and will follow through. Problems can be found and treated successfully if found early. I know so many guys that are reluctant to get checked. I tell them if they think a prostate exam  seems uncomfortable or embarrassing wait till they have prostate cancer. I had a biopsy done last January, uncomfortable? Yes, embarrassing? No, peace of mind? Priceless. I have lost too many family members and friends to this preventable condition.

I agree.  I hope that my comment did not offend anyone.  It was just a quick thought on my part.  What we thought was funny in the past is not so much anymore.

Rotated GTP tires yesterday, front to rear. Way overdue, I been hydroplaning on a Dixie cup's worth of puddle. Never have figured out how single people are supposed to work logistics for tires and recalls. Call a cab, really? Both FWDs have a pending recall that means if one burns down my house from out in the garage, insurance won't pay. Theres just not a dealer in walking distance. Been handling tires by bringing in pairs with the other car during lunches. Now I want and can afford a set of tires and an alignment. But work full time. So maypops and expired crackly used mismatches it is. Don't need much car these days anyhow. If that sounds bleak, well the tire rotation at shop suprise opportunity by mistake that happened... ate the only this week time window for 455 use in the foreseeable future. Not gonna force her to operate when a full half minute of cranking is required, but that doesn't make me cheerful. :(

I could use a HF run too but am awful discouraged about that these days. Recent purchases have been so incredibly unsuccessful; tool quality so poor as to be of no use at all, that I am reconsidering my "But you can buy ten of these... TEN... use until fail, and throw them all in the trash... before ever getting to touch the trigger of the next higher quality tool" strategy. And yet poor quality still can bite there.

At the gathering now, not a mask in sight but kids loose.

BUT! Here in central time zone at 5 PM Saturday...

Mecum aution on a big screen and a familiar 41 Ford pickup appeared in the lineup. Somebody turned up the TV and we all heard a nice live comment. :D  They said something about six figures.

Somebody watching that tell me how it goes. I'll probably split before it hits the auction block.
