Interesting thought. Like Pontiac hood tachs.

They could be in little pods like the A tail lights or a pillar pod kinda. (But nobody said nothing when I was crying ideas, fixing to weld thise flat plates in) .I like the GM hood tachs too, I like the 10-2 o'clock sweep on just about anything but then column shift hasn't bothered me in twenty years.  Now, being used to a HUD, wouldn't mind a big LED MPH out there, maybe with a small tach beside it and large boost gauge small temp on her side.

He thought I was sick. Just texted to ask me but he may just not have found August yet on the blog. I redirected

I'm trying to decide whether to prime cowl first but want to build the front end back for final fit. I've about decided to leave the back of cab all alone until cab is off.

It was my friend Pugsy who said put a tach in there. Probably because Pontiac, yep. );b(

I am loosely going with no mud just primer up there. Strangely enough, the cab corner blocked out alright. :-o

Door not going so good. And when I was running ny mouth earlier about there not being any unprimed parts left, I of course forgot running boards.    Always something.

Man, I recall having posted those shots a gazillion times each doing door gaps. But this time is different.

Today, I'm thinking on with the front clip one more time to confirm fit.

Maybe that will advance the job enough for me to feel as though theres been an accomplishment. Then comes tubs, maybe roll pan.... oh and the back of the cab ain't sanded. Whatever the next job is may feel like brand new life after so long with the same vehicles. Still ain't had my ten year reward week off. That thought is probably just a cruel joke on myself. I'll have to assemble these bodies after paint. Ugh. Any other car sounds great right now but nothing changes the mindset until gone. Seems like five years work since one left. Thats a long time to hold a breath.

I know that feeling Matt. The truck I am nearly finished with has been here over two years. I'm really ready to move on to something else.

I have been gone for a while but hopefully back for good . I think you are making great progress , I have had my T coupe for 18 years now and it is still far from done .    Seems like spare time for toy cars is something I rarely find these days

Splash of color for top of new page... flames in progress-

These here are the gaps I been working toward. Finally presentable. Left more than right but I'll claim them both. The hood is latched and has rubber at rear. Weatherstrip chunks as two side bumpers. Latch top part is a clamped scrap with nuts scavenged from an old hood pin-

I'm paying attention. :)

Thanks. Likewise. I hope you can take something positive with you from this broken record which is my internet presence. The owner looks at the blog, you look here, and thats about it. Same old same old. Mostly pain, little gain. :)

I cannot predict whether the fender to hood gaps will be acceptable as-is, nor can I offer any solutions for the design if not. But what you see is what I've been able to come up with and is probably as good as its gonna get.

Oh, I think there are more than you think looking at this. So far this post has 36,667 views.

I wondered the other day what the block stroke count would be. Heres some factual IDJ trivia for the masses: Blisters in hands last couple weeks. Must be the combination of sweat and friction, don't recall ever having that from sanding but never did two show filler only jobs back to back.I don't even want to grip a wrench or paintbrush on weekends, joints all ache. Is it Labor Day yet? :)

I am pretty sure theres multiple threads here on this truck too. I've tried searching but don't know how to use the function to find my own threads.

Finis coronat opus  :)  Looks like it was worth all the fuss. Hood works easy about like a GTO trunk lid does but theres no popper upper yet. Still just makeshift hood bumpers on there.

That's a happy face. :)
