Contemplating break. The pics are of the left door panel on, Emblems on the hood, 1 fender installed to see how far out of alignment everything is. :)

End of the day for the F100. Button head bolts where the hood emblem used to be. A new one is $100! I removed the evaporator for what should be the last time. I glued some Low-E insulation on several locations. Re-installed, picked up the mess and it's outside where it will stay unless there is good enough weather to work on it in the shop. The forecast is for cold for a while.

There must be something obnoxious that could be bolted where the original trim was to give the truck some personality of sorts.

C.K., the thought occurred about how much time I could spend making something interesting already. When all the real work is completed, I'll see what I can do. It's 2 bolts so it's not a problem to retrofit after the truck is completed.

Seems like I'm going to need to schedule another "sweeping" in my shop..
I normally sweep every time you complete a project ...
At this rate, I may need to buy another broom

It warmed up enough this afternoon that I decided to do a little work. I had made a decision to eliminate the 2 spring lock couplers and convert to standard oring ac fittings. After looking at options, I purchased 2 bulkhead fittings to weld to the alum. on the hoses. I put them in the lathe and counter bored for the hose stub and welded them. I have crimped some no.6 ends and was going to do some number 8's. When I unwrapped the fittings, I see they are for standard hose, not reduced barrier. Oh well. One more time. :) Progress is about to come to a halt.

End of the day for this job. More ac lines run. I made a shield to cover the firewall area from road garbage. I have shimmed up the front some and thrown the sheetmetal back on. Needs more work but once again, I can see how much. :) The original road blasted grille looks poor against shiny paint. I'll be looking for a better one but I'm not excited about $750 for a new one. :)

It warmed up to mid 50's today so it got a bath after I got home. The pics are right before sunset. Totally gratuitous. :) It's the 1st time most of the parts have been washed since painting or buffing.

That is one limby hood!  :)

The other ac fittings arrived today. The pics are of the no. 10 hose and then where it goes. The vacuum pump is connected and it pulled a vacuum. I'll see in the morning if I have a problem. :)

I had a short day today. All the front sheet metal was removed to shim the core support some more and align side to side. I finished up the heater hoses and filled it with antifreeze. I started filling the ac and found I had a leak. I hadn't crimped one of the hose ends enough. I pulled the hose and recrimped. Tomorrow I'll find out if I cured the problem.

1st task of the day completed. AC charged and 33 degree temp at the air vent. :)

End of day at O&S. T.B. has set in. :) The ac is finished except for the drain hose and connecting the defroster vents. The sheet metal is back on. Not perfect but I don't know how much better I will get it. I worked on the headlight doors some. One had been whacked pretty good. I quit before wiring up the front lights. The sockets in the turn signals are useless. I think I may try to adapt modern bulbs to the housings.
