Thanks, gents... on behalf of the crew. The owner of this beauty can be proud of his fine looking machine. I saw it with some chrome on it yesterday and boy it is something once you get trim up there. What an eye grabber it will be. I hear larger meats are in the works for the rear. 8)

Every other time I passed through the paint shop while it was there, I asked when they were going to paint the golden arches on it....

...suggesting that Ronald McDonald would look right behind the wheel in a parade, with the trunk lid off and some waving kids dressed as french fries standing in a fry box on the trunk floor and Grimace walking behind. Yep, personally I don't care much for red and white. But it gives this car a "period" look that is sure to be a hit.  That red is super loud in the sun, it almost looks unnatural. I can't wait to see it all built up, it should be a flashy looker!

UGLY OLDS

Looks spiffy ... 8)   I like the way the paint line is broken at the rain gutter rather than the belt line ....It looks kinda "old timey" ..... 8)

When you drive a narrow vehicle such as a 32, you are nervous about small parking spots. With that huge car, where you gonna park? :)

Its no yacht. Or barge, even. I believe these Peter Gunn era rides qualify as liners. Even at a rodder's age, you could still get like twenty chicks in these things. If you was a poultry hauling liner rodder.

Saw it with tail lights in it today. Might have had a fender well up there also, shiny red.    8)  Its looking better every day :)

Thanks, Lynn. I go in each day, act like I know how and just do things... and then suddenly something I've almost forgotten is some fancy shiny car. I don't know how they all do their things but together... sometimes eventually we surprise ourselves. Proud to be part of a capable crew, thats all.  That baby sure was a mess though, you are right. Ended up being just good practice for the next one, for me. :)

I've always liked these, even though they haven't always been popular. shame there aren't more of them left.
