Glad to know that  :D

The floors are gonna have to go fairly quick, I was hoping to start on them today then start the Bronco next Friday. Gonna have to extend both pans, and the driver's side is partially welded but doesn't reach the body bracket. So another mess, basically. Planning to tack up the driver's floor then go back to a dolly or rack with it.

All I got done was to re-patch the front of the right inner wheelhouse. Blew it all off afterwards and found another hole nearby that was only visible inside the car. Heck I better sprint! Rest first. Have a good weekend, I am kaput from the heat and humidity.

Photobucket stopped being free so the pics are gone. Finishing front floors on the car today, and thats the last of that job for me right now. Thanks for looking!

A member on another forum had the same thing happen. He said they wanted $400 for hosting! Yikes.

I won't pay ransom, not that worried about it. Others may fuss though.

Been trying to figure out what photobucket wants, can't find a thing wrong with the setup on the account with the problem but it is seven years old. No settings involving 3rd party hosting are mentioned anywhere that I saw, and they aren't asking for money. Here is a test using another account. Its a similar car I saw at a show last weekend and it was wearing a for sale 48K sign. 348 tri-power, nice but lose the whitewalls please!  8)

If this post seems to work, I shall provide what updates there are to be made.  :)

That seems to work. Perhaps this link will get you to the previous pics:

Let me know, if you would please. There are two "metal work" sub-folders. In another folder I did find one pic that I was using as a signature on a recently hacked forum that for whatever reason led me to suspect that maybe only of the some pics are causing a problem but have affected the entire account. Don't know... just working around for the time being and theres always the possibility that the issue will be resolved with pics. Not having much to post last week or so has been refreshing. But no matter what, pic posting is more complex for me anyway now since I switched to the phone camera. I like the look of the pics better and  don't have to nurse the AA batteries and lug an extra device though.  Here is the latest about the Biscayne and it ain't much...

Today I put the doors on so mud man has a reference for the quarters. Painter was scrubbing and epoxying some exterior spots. Hey...whats that hunk of "junk" over in my stall?

Whats missing here is raw weld and post-grinding shots of the RF floor. I have some and will backfill those as time allows. I never did touch up welding on the LR pan but my friend did a fine job of grinding on all the floors and now has epoxy on that. Doesn't look as bad as I thought it might. Boys I gotta tell ya I was welding that last pan in a bit faster than I thought I should plus I myself got fairly overheated in doing so. Whew.

I am pleased with it. If I had my druthers I'd score semi-desireable bodystyles to fix them to this point and sell, in a small shop with tiny living quarters in a corner. :)

Photobucket's new policy requires that you subscribe to their Plus500 plan in order to do 3rd Party Hosting. That plan costs $40/mo or $400/yr. This change is causing grief everywhere on forums. Those of us that have posted "how to" or project progress threads have lost all our pictures, making our threads pretty much useless. I've got too many threads on other forums to try to move & rehost the pics. It would be a major clusterxxxx.

Yah. I have seen some terse words and worse used against Photobucket.

Yep heck I was already into gutting massive threads before PB came along and made it cool. Ask anybody, anywhere I've posted. Ha. Hours of my life spent reposting hollered-about missing pics are also... well I better not get started on thinking about all that. I really don't get what the beef is from either end. I don't believe that anyone smart enough to use free hosting would be so naive as to think it's forever. I am curious though, why only one of my accounts was affected. There are three. :?:

Once upon a time I started a blog... http://idrivejunk.blogspot.com/2011_09_04_archive.html Might be good to just go back to something like that but I'm not sure how well that hosting lends itself to forum posting. I just know that none of the photo host sites ever owed me a thing so I don't expect any favors y'know?

let's see how it works

Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Looks like it works as good as a Pontiac V8! 8) Thats the best looking pic I've seen in quite a spell. I should probably start over, though. I've totally forgotten what email account I used for that blog. Thanks Frank for tossing that particular pic at me, the file name is "lookmanohandles". Got the body panels back on it after the shoot, and had to have me a burnout shot right then. That pic and a few others affect me like newborn pics do a Mom. By the way that was shot about 5 yards from the spot I found it... serving a couple decades in neglect jail. No wonder she treats me so good. The spot in that pic is now inside a Whole Foods market. It was a GM and Benz dealership in my day. Thanks for stirring a warm fuzzy memory.

Painter is tackling mud on my Biscayne quarter seams right now. I am revealing sins on the Bronco, dang what a mess!

Painter would rather work on a creeper and complain than grab a jack and stands and use his stool.   Lays down on the job.

He is thinking right though, I sat my stick of PVC pipe wraped in 80 grit over there and he took the hint. Its perfect for this task. 8)

First post from the new blog :!:  :D  Done all by phone. The detail may induce nausea. What do you think? Pic is from yesterday, today I closed up that wide spot in the door gap using a door skinning hammer on the backside of the jamb. You'll see it again after painter makes it pretty.

Guys, once again the pics are gone.

So here is a more sure-fire blog page that should serve as a guide to the story and pictures that were once here. I appreciate your understanding of the photobucket hosting situation and hope that you will continue to let this project be reference material for projects of your own.  8)
