I was surprised by the large number of cars out of Texas.

Of some interest is I noted GEORGE POTEET will be there with either 2 cars or the same car running in 2 different classes:

580 - D - GR - GEORGE POTEET - TN - GEORGE POTEET
581 - C - GR - GEORGE POTEET - TN - GEORGE POTEET

I don't know if he has ever been there before with a car.

The car John (WZJUNK) has been working on and I hope to be helping with:

974 - B - GCC - SUPER STUDE - OK - LOYD HUFFMAN

And one of our very own:

1149 - B  - STR - N49 RACING - ALBERTA - TED ALLAN, DON SIEWERT, DIANNE ALLAN, MIKE SIEWERT

Tony will probably be rooting for this one:

1010 - J - PRO - CROSLEY OF KY. - KY - GERALD DAVENPORT

I hope to see lots of you guys on the salt this year,

Sum

Leon

Is there an entry from Dave Freiburger ?  Rumor has it he will be there with a car representing Hot Rod Magazine.

Hmmm......nobody from Michigan.

Thanks for the info.  These Bonneville posts are teasers for those of us anxious to see another week on the salt.

Poteet did have a car there last year.  Here's a pic.

And here's a pic of the Crosley's engine.

37 days and counting..... :D

Nice pictures George.  I don't remember seeing the car or the push truck.  They look nice.

You are kidding about no one from Mich. aren't you (Michigan 17)?  According to the magazines it looks like there will be quite a few "factory hot rods" there this year trying to post records for advertising most likely.

c ya soon,  Sum

I didn't see it, but this list was as of the first of June.  You can go to:

Oops...I missed that.  I thought it was unusual...with us being such cool kinda car guys (& gals) and all.  8)

One thing I like about Bonneville is that the pits have an atmosphere of grass roots racing.  Not at all low tech but not mega buck either.  I hope the factories chase for records doesn't change that.

The Crosley guy Gerald is a hero to many  of the Crosley club guys.

Some of the old farts can only see original down to every nut & bolt on the cars.

The induction on the Crosley is getting real interesting.  I am looking forward to seeing the car in person and probably will need many photos of me with the car.

We've had our beaver in training camp for the past year. His personal trainer Jeff Norwell has really helped him get into shape.

He's ready to race!

That is really nice Mike.  I'll be looking forward to getting one of those shirts.

I've been checking out Brush's work on the HAMB Friday Art Shows.  He definitely does awesome work.

Didn't you have a girl modeling the "tank tops" last year? I know the word beaver has different connotations but some (Sum?) of us have grown up. I 'm old enough to drive. GPster

Some people try to turn back their odometers
Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I\'ve traveled a long way and some of the
roads weren\'t paved.
