Any chance they have setup online 'real' pre-registration so the event hotel activity and goodybag pickup can be bypassed?

Also any chance they've got a 'season pass' purchase available?

I don't think you'll ever see a "bypass" of the host hotel. Because you need to show your membership card & sign the book. You'ld be amazed at how many people every year try to come in on somebody elses membership!

As for your "season pass" idea - I have wrote that down and will bring that up at the next Divisional Meeting. :)

What's wrong with showing my 'lifetime member' card at the gate with my button received in the mail?

If it's a problem with the goodie bags or registering for the big 'giveaway' I could easily do without if I could bypass the host hotel. Course I would assume a surcharge of some sort would be required for online registration, even though it would probably be effectively cheaper for the org.

Could have a different color windshield sticker recieved in the mail for season passes or hotel bypass types to signal check for ID at gate.

Most gates I've seen pretty much require everyone to virtually stop to check sticker and show all buttons in the vehicle anyway.

If the people in the car would hold their buttons up for the gate keeper to see there's no need to stop. I've done it this way for years and never had to come to a complete stop. If a card needed to be shown at the gate a lot of people wouldn't get the card out until they stopped. That would be worse than in the grocery store where some women wait until after the bill is rung up to dig through their purse for the checkbook.
Some days it\'s not worth chewing through the restraints.

When and where were you behind my wife in the check out line I'd like to know.

The reason i very rarely go to the grocery store with my wife. You old people need to have all the proper payment items in order when you enter the checkout line. With all the stupid laws we have now days im wondering if that would pass if we tried :?:  8)  :!: And back to the card and button at the gate Jack is right it would be a mess. I cant believe the people that wont go outta the way to show thier button let alone the ones that are too stupid to put em on when they get them at registration or at least before entering the line into the show..

Guess people are just people sometimes. Actually most of the folks I see stopping are generally having a conversation with folks they know at the gate.

I still don't see why folks have to 'sign in' in person at the host hotel if they pre register. It would seem that pre registration would matchup membership numbers and names and put that on the 'list' that is apparently so vital for security purposes.
