I really liked C9. I would stop and see him every time I was through Kingman. I last saw him three days before he passed.

I saw a new DR today, we didn't click. I walked out on him.

It's getting harder to find a Dr. that clicks.  Mine died in 2020 and I haven't found one yet, other than the VA Dr. I have. He asks me when I'm getting a civilian Dr., and I keep telling him they are not easy to find.

Frank, I sure hope you're on the mend soon.

Yeah...  I walked out and never went back to a doctor in 2013 after my motorcycle crash with the drunk driver.. Doctor had a  Miserable personality. Insurance asking me why I did not follow his ordered treatments.  I used the word that ends with "hole" to explain the problem to the insurance gal asking me questions.

I've said nothing , but there is plenty of medical stuff happening around us in recent months. Its very tiring.  My wife has been cleared of a woman problem. I have no New  medical problems Just olde ones, plus a bad attitude problem...  My wife is the baby of her family by 10 to 18 years.  Her siblings are elderly and the stuff that can come along with age. My wife took her middle sister to a doctor today, that was not fun...  Then they both visited their 85 yr old sister that is currently in a rehab place for a month now.  My wife is just slap worn out this evening ..

As long as people are talking about medical issues, I think I mentioned that my Dad was ill and might not make it. Turns out his mental confusion and other issues were caused by undiagnosed afib causing a fall, which created a bleed outside his brain but within the skull. Good news, his mind cleared with the cranial pressure. He's back at home today. Someone will have to be with him at all times now, he's done driving, and he probably shouldn't be traipsing up and down the basement stairs anymore...but that's pretty darned good for a 97 year old.

When I was back in Iowa his lucidity would come and go at any time. When his mind was clear he was quite aware he was in trouble, and made it a point to tell all of us some things he felt he needed to. At one point when his wits were about him he looked right at me and said "John, I'm dying."

When my brother returned to the room I needed a little time to myself.

Well , I hope people heal and do better with the health.

I guess I do have a new injury. When relocating  my stored tools and equipment in may 2023 , it appears I injured my left rotator cup area. I have all the symptoms.. Likely I should see a doctor on that.

2 weeks ago : I helped my friend with his moms furniture move into her assisted living apt. She is 99 yrs old.  Dementia has set in at a low level. Good days , bad daze for her.

Don't wait too long Tony. I did and when I finally went to the Dr they could not fix it.

Crosley, if you have a torn rotator cuff, get it fixed soon. I was told most can't be repaired if a total tear after 6-12 months. I put a repair off and wound up with a reverse total shoulder replacement. Reverse in that the "ball" of the joint is attached to the shoulder and the socket to the upper arm bone.

I needed a window regulator for the GT, looked it up on store site the last one came from and found it to be in stock just like then.

Walked in, waited the quarter hour in line...

Yes, I need this window regulator. (holding up phone showing part in stock, $81)

Whats it going on?

99 Pontiac Grand Prix GT.

To his credit, he did not ask which engine. :blank:

tap tap tap.... OK those are $71 and I can have one Wednesday. (Its Friday)

Um. Can we give this part number a shot?

Thats $81. And its in stock. (tone like I just ran over his dog)

Lay it on me.

Reminds me of the stoplights on smaller streets around here. If they see a car coming they turn red. Assuring that every vehicle must stop and only letting one vehicle through at a time. Meaning stop signs would do.

I'd have done as well with a stop sign as the counterperson. The item he wanted to special order was waaay down the listing of site choices and marked NOT AVAILABLE.

Its just me getting old I guess. Had to use a tire iron to pry the door panel loose.

Five months ago, we bought a new refrigerator from Lowe's, and they said it would be delivered the next day. Cool. The delivery truck backed into the phone tower out by the street when they backed into our driveway. Didn't hurt it much. After they left, they had knocked out a huge gouge on one basement stair, broke a glass top on a table on the front porch, which also hit some ceramic turtles in our flowerbed, etc.  They ended up doing $250 damage for replacement costs.  JB Hunt was the delivery service, and they couldn't have cared less, and said the pictures of the damage wasn't good enough, that we needed video. WTH?

Called Lowe's and they fiddled around, not really helping.  After five months of my wife hounding them both, Lowe's manager said to stop by the store today and they gave us $250 cash.  I guess they finally figured that all the time they were spending on the phone was adding up.  JB Hunt also delivers for Costco, and I think Home Depot, so any deliveries that I have in the future will be taped ahead, just in case.

It's just like when I go in for skin cancer surgery, I'm specifying one surgeon, and that's it.  He's good, the others are so-so.

Hunt just hired away two good guys from us. I've had two bosses fistfight over that.

If old car fixing pay is a tenth of surgeon pay, how can one man's work be tenfold of the next man's? That eludes me but fixing semi trailers must trump old cars by a longshot.

Many years ago when Hughes Performance became a vendor for Summit Racing.. Everything was delivered to the Ohio warehouse. 75% of what we shipped to Summit was damaged by JB Hunt, especially the whole transmissions. Of course it was Hughes fault: poor packaging".

Hughes quickly regrouped all transmission packing, boxes, pallet strapping,  Hard foam inserts in the boxes, expanding foam, saran wrap. Damage product continued at a lower rate. Hughes changed carriers after interviewing a few.  Damage product was mostly stopped.

Hughes tried DHL for some individual box shipping on the west coast .. Converters, parts kits, etc... The FIRST shipment went out ( 5 boxes) ALL of the boxes  were lost, never seen again!

Crazy stuff

I injured the shoulder just before we left for the summer RV trip... I worry about spending the money for our insurance co-pay and then a few days later I take a dirt nap.
