Gas tank rust removal

I have a 5 gal. cycle tank that is continually loosing fine rust dust and plugging the cabs. It had a standard 20 micron filter and I replaced it with a 13 micron filter. I'd like to fix the problem. I looked at Picklex but it's pricey. Muratic acid is off the list. Do you guys have any suggestions?

a neodymium magnet fished deep into the tank lower corner will pull all the rust toward it...

i used a washer shaped version on a piece of stainless steel wire to fish out the debris from the vette gas tank...

are there any engine rebuilders around.. that you might talk out of a few pounds of their cleaning triangles??? little ceramic stones...   take the tank off... fill it with soapy water... seal it and shake shake shake...

a length of chain is what we used for years ...   two of us holding a gas tank... and swishing it back and forth for 10 minutes...

so many ways to clean it...

Some folks on the motorcycle forums will put some phoshoric acid in it and put in a couple cups of nuts and seal the tank.   Wrap it in a heavy towel and tape it up good then put it inthe dryer for about 20 minutes

Whats your budget? I do know that radiator shops "used" to be able to take a gas tank from a car and clean out the rust, make leak repairs and seal the inside for future use.
I think the company that makes POR 15 (restomotive) makes a gas tank renew kit for cars.
My two cents worth.
