I bought a pair of repop '47 Chevy taillights and they came with a single filament  bulb. Did they even have brake lights? I added a Julliano  halogen kit for turn signals.

That doesn't sound right.  Do they only have one contact in the socket?  I'm running repops on my truck and they are both brake/turn and tail lights.  I'd take them back and get the ones you need.  They definitely make them.

Ever set I have had, original, or repro has had a dual filament bulb.

That might fix it but check the socket to make sure they will take the bulbs you intend. Sockets for single filament bulbs have the locating barbs for the bulbs opposite each other and sockets for dual filament bulbs have the locating barbs staggered so that the bulb only goes in one way to keep the proper bulb filament connected to the proper circuit.  GPster

I don't know who made these?? I 'm just using them as taillights. Even the screws that hold the bezel on was almost a 6/32 BUT it wasn't. I drilled and tapped fro 8/32" Man what a headache for something so small. But I guess that why I like Hot Rods.LOL
