MII front ends come out of 75-78 mustangs that must be the frame width you are looking for.

nope, but i got the answer off the HAMB.
thanks BUT the answer i was looking for was the 64-70 mustang...

what i want to do is use a heidts crossmember in a 67-69 american..
(i've got the oem mustang II stuff, just not the oem crossmember, nor do i want an oem crossmember)

well, anyway a mustang (not II) crossmember is about an inch too narrow.
still looks like the nova will be a better fit...

Tom, I saw the answer and kinda figured you could engineer a fudge for 1/2" on each side.

Welders Series has a universal unwelded crossmember that you can trim as you need it. Paul is a member both here, and on the HAMB. The price is right too.  http://www.welderseries.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=22_25
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.
